Hedgehog Timber Tent

Our Timber Tent is situated within the grounds of our small family run farm and caravan site. We are easily accessible from the A66 by car. Great for a stop over when cycling, walking, travelling to the highlands or for a simple weekend away. With two single beds a power point, heating, mini fridge and tea/coffee facilities it really is the best way to go camping. You will need everything you take camping except your bedding & tent. Shower/toilet facilities on site. Please read all info The space Come and enjoy the beautiful scenery in our Timber Tent, a convenient alternative to your usual tent and a guaranteed dry place if the weather gets a bit damp. This is NOT luxury glamping, simply a tent alternative. The tent is on the caravan site so there will be other guests around. The Timber Tent is an insulated wooden self catering structure that sleeps 2, 2 single beds and bedding provided. **There is NO toilet/shower within the tent** Fitted with a mini fridge and tea/coffee making equipment and plates/bowls/cutlery. Its a short walk to the communal shower and toilet block along with a sink area for washing up. There is a drinking water point at the gate in to the Timber Tent field. A secure locking door, heater and a small decking space. There are various picnic benches dotted around the site for you to sit and enjoy those summer nights. Bring everything you would to go camping except your beds/bedding. Disposable bbqs can be used on the site but please be sensible and place on the heat flag provided. You will need to bring toiletries, towels, cooking equipment, food/drinks etc. Please respect other guests staying at the site and quiet hours are 10pm to 7am. We have a selection of leaflets and information available for things you can do, see and visit while you stay with us. The village of Kirkby Thore has a shop and post office only a 2 minute drive away or you can walk along the footpath opposite the site entrance which takes about 10 minutes. They have all of the necessities you might need. Along with this, there is also the BP filling station. The village of Temple Sowerby which is a nice walk away offers The King's Arms pub, available for breakfast/dinner & teas. Local towns (by car)include: Penrith (8 miles) Appleby-in-Westmorland (6 miles) Keswick (24 miles) Kendal (27 miles) Carlisle (28 miles) Dogs are welcome with an additional cost but must be kept on leads at all times. We are in the countryside with lots of farm animals grazing in the fields. Please respect and follow the countryside code whilst staying with us. Guest access **Check in is between 3-9pm. A security gate will be closed at 9.30pm so NO access available after this time so please ensure you arrive before 9pm.** Late & early check-in can be arranged prior to booking at an extra cost. Checkout by 11am. A short walk up the field to our communal toilet and shower facilities and a small sink area for any washing of pots. Rubbish and recycling area to the right of the toilet/shower block for all waste. This accommodation is not suitable for guests with limited mobility due to the terrain and steps into the tent. Please place all rubbish and recycling in the refuse area at the right hand side of the toilet/shower block on departure.
