Birds of Paradise: Sanderling room

At the doorstep of the Atlantic Ocean, situated in Vale da Telha, Aljezur, at the south west coast of Portugal and in a nature reserve, you find surfers paradise: Birds of Paradise. Fully renovated in 2021 with respect for it’s natural surroundings, this boutique surf lodge is an inspiring, conscious, vibrant and easy-going space to rebalance, enjoy nature, (learn to) surf and have fun. Birds of Paradise offers 3 to 7 day stays, including a delicious and healthy breakfast. The space The Sanderling room is bright unique and beautiful. It has an en-suite bathroom, comfortable bed, a work desk and chair, a closet with hangers, shelves and a sunny private balcony with a view on the swimming pool and the garden. Guest access The solar run lodge is a gorgeous and welcoming ‘surf, nature and coastal inspired’ space. ​ In the garden you find a salt water pool, with day beds, yoga deck, outside kitchen including wood fired pizza oven, shaded rooftop terrace and several seating areas. ​ Its communal living room invites you to hang around and get to know other guests. In case you feel like cooking your own meal, you can make use of the fully equipped kitchen. Quality facilities are combined with bespoke style and design throughout the lodge. Other things to note Birds of Paradise offers 3 to 7 day stays, including a delicious and healthy breakfast (from April - November). In addition surf lessons (for all levels), on-site nanny services, dinner nights, bikes, yoga classes, massages can be booked. Expect phenomenal days spent in the ocean improving surf skills, flowing into a massage or yoga class, chilling at the solar heated (from mid April) salt water pool and enjoying an organised dinner in the garden or at the rooftop terrace with other guests.
