The Birds Nest Cottage

Our home is a newly renovated charming cottage nestled in the foothills of the beautiful Virginia Blueridge Mountains. You'll enjoy old cottage charm with added modern but classic updates to the entire home. Relax on the screened in back porch with tranquil sound of a water feature . Our home is centrally located near several beloved attractions like Skyline drive, Charlottesville, Massanutten Ski Resort, wineries and antique shops. Greenehills Country Club is directly across from our home. The space Lovingly restored with great care to retain its old original charm while incorporating some modern comforts. The master bedroom has a king bed, walk in closet, master bath with duel vanity custom shower and large claw foot tub. There are also exposed beams and the original stone and brick fireplace to add to the masters cottage charm. In the living room you will find brand new hickory wood floors, exposed beams and simple decor as well as a small powder room for convenience. The living room is open to the kitchen and dining area consisting of vaulted ceiling, a island with granite counter, farm sink, and brand new stainless appliances. Off the kitchen is the laundry. Between the living room and dining area is a door leading to a relaxing screened porch. Upstairs are two guest bedrooms. One room with a queen bed and one with a full bed. There is also a bath with an antique claw foot tub. There is no shower in upstairs bathroom so master bedroom shower would have to be shared with all guests. Guest access Whole home. Other things to note Our home is 7 miles from Skyline drive. Greenhills Country Club is located across from the home. Our home is near many of Virginias favorite wineries and is great to get out to shops and antique stores. We are located 30 minutes Between Massanutten Resort and Charlottesville. Visit Massanutten Ski Resort where you can ski or swim at the indoor water park all in the same day or go golf the day away. You could visit Charlottesville for historic sites, shopping, dinning etc. Just a couple minutes the quaint town of Stanardsville which offers a quick trip for shops, dinning and groceries.
