The Green Darner is Dragonfly-In's rustic style luxury cabin. Nestled on the side of Taum Sauk Mt. in Missouri's beautiful Arcadia Valley. Johnson Shut-Ins, Taum Sauk, Elephant Rocks & Black River are all nearby. The cabin is on our private 86 acre resort, features a 6 acre lake, hiking trails, boat house, paddle boats, canoes, kayaks, swim dock and lakeside picnic area. The cabin has charcoal BBQ grill. FP, fire pit, wood included, lake is a short walk from your door. We can price for 2-8 We provide paddleboats, canoes, and kayaks for our guests to use except during winter months when the lakes are too cold. Swimming is also permitted during our summer season in our private 6 acre lake which has a floating swim dock, boat house and lake side picnic area for use by our guests. Fishing is allowed but you do need your own gear. Fishing is catch & release only. The lake is a short walk or drive from your cabin and is only shared by the owners. Hiking trails are just steps from your door. Our guests need not worry about lugging down firewood as we provide all you will need for your bonfire and fireplace. Bonfire site is located in the back yard along with 2 lovely patios and covered porch area to relax in as you barbeque. We are in one of Missouri's most beautiful outdoor recreational areas. Johnson Shut-Ins and Elephant Rocks are two of many wonderful state parks close by. Float trips on the crystal clear Black River are a favorite adventure of our guests and within 15 miles of the Inn. There are several canoe liveries to choose from and are listed in our informational notebooks. Our private lake, sometimes shared by owners but often all to yourselves, hiking trails, boathouse with picnic area, life vests located in boathouse, boats and swim dock all just a short walk or drive down the lane from the cabin. Some trails begin just steps from your door. You will enjoy your own private bonfire site with 2 outdoor patios and covered deck/porches located at your cabin. Boat use on the lakes is not allowed during colder weather months for the safety of our guests. Very Rural and rustic. Outdoor recreation abounds as well as many festivities in town to include our Farmers market in season open Friday nights and Sat. morning at our Courthouse grounds. Lots of beautiful state parks to see. groups may want to check with our Chamber of commerce for transportation details. The visitor center is located in the old Train Station on Hwy 21, Arcadia.
