The Treehouse: Suite in a riverside 1912 cottage

Whether travelling solo or as a couple or small family group, enjoy a taste of yesteryear while staying in our 1912 cottage, right on the banks of the Grand River in old Paris. Watch kayakers pass by on the river from the window of your spacious and sunlit suite, or take in the old-fashioned street view from the covered front porch. All just a few minutes’ walk from Paris’ quaint downtown shops and restaurants. Come enjoy the quiet…get some work done or just reconnect…your room is waiting! The space Your private suite is located in the upstairs of our home, and features a bright and spacious master bedroom and ensuite bathroom. In addition to the queen bed, a comfortable rollaway twin bed and a Pack’n’Play play yard/crib are available if you’re travelling with a baby or child, or for a third guest. Guest access Please note, this guest suite is located in a private home. You’ll be entering via a shared entrance, and will pass through some shared spaces en route to your suite, which is located on the home’s second level. Guest quarters consist of a spacious bedroom with private spa bathroom. This suite affords guests quiet, privacy, and stunning views. **Please note, as this rental includes shared spaces, I am unable to accommodate solo male guests, or all-male groups. This request is in compliance with Airbnb’s hosting policy A rollaway twin bed is available if you’re travelling with 3rd child, teen or adult, or if you prefer separate beds. The suite is a good size and can easily accommodate this bed in the space next to the queen bed. This bed has a sturdy frame, and a 4 1/2” memory foam mattress with a cushiony topper for your comfort. Please let me know in advance if you’ll be needing the rollaway bed so I can set it up for you. Thank you! A Pack’n’Play crib, high chair, and children’s toys and books are also available if you are travelling with a baby or young child. Guests are welcome to relax on the deck overlooking the Grand River, or on the front verandah, and are welcome to enjoy coffee or tea and a light breakfast in the home’s shared kitchen. There is room on or under the deck to safely store your bikes, kayaks, or canoes. Just so you know, we share our home with a very friendly cat! Her name is Cheeky and she loves being my cohost. For your comfort, she isn’t allowed in the guest quarters. I use enhanced cleaning practises to avoid discomfort if you have mild allergies. For hygienic reasons, please leave your shoes on the mat inside the door when you enter the house. Or, if you prefer, you can leave your footwear outside the front door on the porch.
