Dorothy, our Shepherds Hut in a parkland setting

Enjoy the gorgeous parkland setting of our 'Dorothy' Hut. You may just want to 'Stop and Flop' or take to the footpaths and Ridgeway to explore the local area. Whatever takes your fancy 'Dorothy' will be waiting to be your base. Homely, comfy and well appointed. Sit by the fire pit with a glass of something or hunker down with a good book by the log burner, it really is your call. A short walk to the local pubs and village shop, the best of both worlds, rural but not without amenities. The space ‘Dorothy’ hut has a cream painted interior for a fresh glamping experience. There is a comfy double bed, drop down dining table and two chairs. The kitchen area is compact but functional with a gas hob, fridge and sink. The shower room also has a sink and WC. ‘Dorothy’ is off grid so no Wifi!! She does however have mains water which is suitable for drinking. Power is from solar and gas bottles. Guest access Only you will have access to ‘Dorothy’ hut, however the Parkland is shared with our two other huts ‘Agatha’ and ‘Martha’. The huts are well spaced apart to ensure as much privacy as possible. Other things to note Dogs are welcome by prior arrangement however we suggest you keep in mind you are staying in a Shepherds Hut!! Leave the Great Dane at home and have time away with the terrier!! There will be the basics like tea, coffee, sugar, salt, pepper and milk in your hut when you arrive. You can order other provisions from Hendred Village Stores. Best to contact them direct. We ask you not to smoke inside your hut. We suggest you book a table at the village pubs, The Eyston Arms or The Wheatsheaf in advance to avoid disappointment. Do remember the huts are off grid. No Wifi!!! This is a time to embrace non connectivity.
