Spacious 2-bedroom 1-bathroom with private entry on the second floor of a hillside home (stairs required, common in LA). Located in a quiet, peaceful neighborhood perfect for relaxing. The oversized master offers stunning 270° views of the mountains, city, and historic Cascades Park. Both bedrooms have large walk-in closets. Features hardwood floors, a bright sunroom with backyard access, and a mini fridge & microwave in the second bedroom. No kitchen. Free street parking. Ref. STR-23-02 The space The House has two stories and this unit owns the entire second floor. You MUST climb about 40 stairs to reach the unit since the house is built along a hill, which might be a little inconvenient if you are traveling with lots of luggages. However, this is extremely common in Los Angeles metro since lots of houses in this area are built along the hills. Luckily, Luggage drop-off and storage can be accommodated upon request of guests who prefer to leave their luggage in our garage, which doesn't require staircases. There is a door in the utility room that leads to downstairs, and it will be locked during your stay. Noted that for people living in master bedroom, you have to go through the secondary bedroom to get in/out of the house since the glass sliding door is the entrance of the unit. The neighborhood has one of the best views in the area where the scenes in the beginning of MV California (Jackson Wang Remix) w/ Rich Brian, NIKI, & Warren Hue of 88rising are shot at. The Cascades Park is right across the street where the beautiful landscape is commonly used as background for wedding pictures. There is an observation terrace from which viewers could look down to Jardin del Encanto and the fountain with cascading water going down the hillside in stepped pools. Jardin del Encanto, otherwise known as El Encanto, is a historical spanish style building that was to serve as the administration building and Old Estate community center for Midwick View Estates, a proposed garden community that was designed to rival Bel-Air and Beverly Hills. Guest access The unit has two bedrooms, one double vanity bathroom, a walk-in closet, a little utility room connecting the two bedrooms, and its own sunroom. No Kitchen or traditional Living Room. However the master bedroom is super spacious and you can use the corner area as a living room. Each bedroom has its own split AC. Roku TV is provided for the master bedroom. Streaming only, no Cable. Washer and Dryer can be accommodated upon request for guests staying a week or longer. Feel free to utilize the lower deck over the garage if you wish to see the views. Other things to note GETTING AROUND This location is close to major points of interest. We have a picture in the end detailing the distance and approximate time to get to those places. There are plenty of things to see within walking distance as well. The historical Cascades park is right across the street. PUBLIC TRANPORTATION The 70 bus operates 24 hours, 7 days a week that can take you to Downtown LA and has three bus stops within 3 mins of walk around the house. We are near two metro lines, E line and J line. Atlantic Metro station is only 1.9 miles away. Free on street parking. Please make sure you follow the posted signs. There is an alternate day for street cleaning. You cannot park next to a yellow or red curb, next to a fire hydrant, or blocking other people's driveways. HOUSE RULES I am very excited to be given the opportunity to host you. These house rules are created based on suggestions from many of my guests such as yourself. Please follow the house rules to maintain an enjoyable environment for all guests. 1. Zero tolerance -No parties, no intoxicated behavior, no illegal drugs, no smoking marijuana, and no smoking cigarettes anywhere inside the property PERIMETER. Even if claiming smoked outside, leaving odor, smell or residue inside the unit will be treated the same and $600 deep cleaning cost will be charged. 2. No pets, extra guests, or visitors without prior approval from host. $400 Deep Cleaning Fee will be charged if unauthorized pet is found. 3. Please TAKE OFF your shoes upon entering rooms. 4. Please be quiet after 10:00 p.m. and before 07:00 a.m, not only inside the rooms, but also inside the property perimeter cause the neighbors might file complaints to the City, which will issue fines that you have to pay. Quiet Hours is meant for sleeping only. We take this rule very seriously and please keep in mind there are guests living directly beneath. You will be given a warning for first violation and if the behavior continues, your reservation will be cancelled and you will be requested to leave. 5. Please do not stain the towels. Stained towels will be charged $7 per piece. 6. Please abide by the check in and check out time. Unauthorized late check out or early check in will be charged $80/hr. 7. Please make sure you follow the posted signs for street cleaning(Wednesdays 8AM to 12PM for the side next to the house and Tuesdays 8AM to 12PM for the opposite side). You cannot park next to a red curb, next to a fire hydrant, too far away from the curb or blocking other people's driveways. If you get a ticket for violation we will not be responsible.
