Private, spacious (> 500 sf) studio in daylight basement. Newly remodeled in 2017. The perfect home base for exploring southeast Portland! Walk to dozens of great restaurants, food carts, bars, coffee shops, thrift stores, cannabis dispensaries, and more on SE Division St and SE Hawthorne Blvd. The space Spacious (> 500 sq ft) basement studio includes comfy queen bed, sleeper sofa, full bathroom, kitchenette, dining table/chairs, living room with smart TV, and 2 closets. The space is very bright, but all windows have room darkening shades so you can sleep as late as you want. The kitchenette includes sink, mini fridge, coffee maker, microwave, toaster oven, and basic utensils. Perfect for reheating leftovers from one of the many crazy good restaurants nearby or preparing a light breakfast. We'll provide bottled water, sparkling water, coffee, and tea. Extras include a steel-tip dart board and extensive '90s cassette tape collection! Guest access You'll have private access to the entire basement studio. Our family of 4 lives in the upper 2 floors of the house. Access to the basement studio is through the laundry / utility / storage half of the basement, which we will also access during your stay. The (five) stairs down to the basement are relatively narrow and steep. Let us know if you need to use the laundry facilities. We have a small backyard with patio table, grill, etc. which you are welcome to use, but our family may also use this space during your stay. Other things to note Access to the basement is via five stairs from the backyard. Because it is a basement unit, you might hear footsteps from upstairs, especially on school day mornings as we’re getting ready to leave for the day. We have 2 cats in our house.
