Located just 4 miles from the White House and situated between two red line metro stops, this apartment is the perfect location for your visit or long term stay in Washington, D.C. Metro stations: Tenleytown (4 blocks) and Van Ness (7 blocks) Shopping: Whole Foods, Politics and Prose Bookstore, Banana Republic and Gap. Just 4 miles from downtown. Restaurants: Bread Furst, Panera, Starbucks, Guapos, Yosaku Japanese Restaurant, Matisse, Cheesecake Factory, Italian Pizza Kitchen and more. The space The basement apartment is a great place for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, and families (with kids if they don't mind a blow up mattress). The apartment was remodeled in June 2017 and is a bright a cheerful space. It has a fully equipped full size eat-in kitchen, large living room, bedroom and full bath. You will find ice cold bottled water waiting for you in the refrigerator when you arrive. The bedroom has plenty of closet space and a queen size bed to give you a great night sleep. If you need an additional bed there is space in the living room to comfortable set the full size air mattress. The living room is very spacious with high speed wireless internet. There is a desk, couch and 65 inch HDTV if you just want to take the night off. Between the bedroom and living room is a full bath with shower and tub. Outside, the patio is surrounded by lush plants, a pond and waterfall that is a perfect oasis in the middle of the city. Guest access The basement apartment has a private entrance with a coded keypad for easy access. You will also have access to the garden and patio dining area when available. Other things to note The apartment is fully equipped with all the basics for cooking. Parking-If you are driving please send email your vehicle make, color, state and license number and I'll get it entered into the parking system. As of August 1, 2025, DC Parking has transitioned to a fully digital Visitor Parking Permit system. All visitor permits will be issued and verified electronically by license plate number. This means drivers will no longer be required to print and display parking permits on the dashboards of their vehicles. Parking is enforced Monday-Saturday on my street between 7AM and 10PM.
