Description
Colourful and homey semi-detached former chapel, less than a 10 min walk from Frome's restaurants and shops. All the amenities you could need, a great place to come back to after exploring the local area. Small, private walled courtyard garden, separate kitchen, lovely en-suite bedroom, and a big arch window to enjoy the morning sunshine. A cosy refuge. (Note that I don’t offer self check-in) The space The Old Bethel Chapel is a stylish, colourful and comfortable home. Separate kitchen with breakfast bar for mealtimes and a 4-ring induction hob. Kitchen opens out onto a cute, secluded walled courtyard at the back of the house. The living room is homely and a great place to cosy up with a book on the sofa (lots to choose from on the bookshelves), or to make use of the good wifi connection and ergonomic office chair. No TV, but you can plug into a bigger screen if you have a laptop/device with a thunderbolt/USB 4 port. The living room also has access onto the private courtyard space. Tucked away under the stairs is an extra WC. The stairs are open plan and lead up to the bedroom, which has a new king size bed. Hanging space in the wardrobe. Off the bedroom is an en-suite, with shower and WC. The house is semi-detached, so a place for calm and quiet guests. * Well equipped kitchen * Spacious living room, with a table for remote working and comfy ergonomic chair * kingsize bed * Stylish upstairs bathroom with large shower and (second) downstairs WC * good wifi * Private courtyard exterior space * Plant filled and creatively decorated Guest access The whole house is exclusively yours for the duration of your stay. Other things to note Street parking is usually available outside the property on the opposite side of the street or within 10 metres or so of the house. The Butts is a residential road but is one of the main thoroughfares in and out of town and can get quite busy during rush hours. If you're coming by train, it's approx a 20 minute walk up from the station. 10 mins into town on foot to Frome's great selection of shops, cafe, and restaurants. Victoria Park, with tennis courts and playground, is just a few minutes walk away, and you can be in 'proper' countryside within a 15 minute walk. I recommend the cross country walk to The Talbot Inn in Mells. Self check in is not available - I’ll be there to meet you, so need to know arrival times in advance. Also there is a skylight Velux window in the bedroom without a blind, so recommend bringing an eye mask if you're super sensitive to light.
