Clean and cozy. A mix of sophistication, country, and nestalgic decor. Superb beds and blackout curtains. Stone patio and garden deck. Fire pit and wood, horseshoe pit, coffee percolator, toaster, secure WiFi, smart TV, DVD player and DVDs, walking distance to excellent diner and Fonthill Castle . Minutes to town center. Max occupancy optimized for families with children due to modest room sizes, but will accept 4 adults. Located on state route 313, close to Main St. Private parking. Close to Doylestown Airport, Doylestown Hospital, Peddlers Village, New Hope. Walking distance to Fonthill museum and shopping. Located in Doylestown Borough, this is a small house with a large yard and off-street parking for 3 cars. EZ-Breathe ventilation system. Check-in is limited to between 3 - 9 PM. Please let us know the expected time of arrival so that we may greet you for entry. The vast majority of our guests are of such high quality, we do not have a cleaning fee. You are close to everything the borough has to offer, including a mix of business and single family homes. The borough is a busy place and this is an older house on a 2 lane, main road (Rt. 313). The road can be very busy during rush hours and lunch hour. This location also puts you across the street and down 1/2 a block from a small diner and 2 doors down from a spa. If you are sensitive to road noise, this may not be the place for you. Please, do not book with us if the road noise will cause you to give us less than a 5 star rating on your experience. We are 1/2 block from Fonthill castle and park. Please see our guidebook for their information. They frequently have family oriented events there and you can schedule a tour of the castle before you arrive. We are minutes from the center of town. Bring your bikes for a quick bike ride into town. There is much to see and do in the town center, so please check the Doylestown Borough website or Doylestown Alive website for a list of scheduled activities. If you would like to visit one of the fine restaurants in the town center on the weekends, you will need to reserve ahead of time. Most of these places have limited seating and are very popular. For a more informal meal, see our guide book or visit one of the 3 large shopping centers nearby. As an older home, the bedrooms and bathroom are a modest size. The occupancy limit of 4 is intended for families with children. For a party of all adults, we suggest a limit of 3, but will accept 4 adults. You have an entire home to yourself with a fully equipped kitchen. Please note that there are no lights in back yard. if you want to use the fire pit, you will need to start the fire during daylight hours. There is much to do in the area from canoeing, boating, hiking, touring, etc. Lots of family activities in the area also. Please see our guide for suggestions. WE WILL MEET YOU AT THE HOUSE. Check in is between 3 and 9 PM. We may need to stand outside because the house can be hard to find. Also, make sure your GPS is directing you to the correct address. I am available by phone or text and encourage you to update me on any issues you may encounter. Between me and my partner, we will be glad to come to the house and correct any issues. Please give us chance to correct any oversight during your stay. We don't want to say, "I am sorry" after it is too late to make adjustments. We are always available for questions or concerns. After our initial introduction, you won't see much of us as we keep busy servicing our houses. The "heart" of Doylestown Borough has limited, metered street parking. There is a county parking garage accessible from Broad St and/or Main St, but you will need to walk a few blocks or wait for the shuttle. There are very nice places to eat there, but they are small and usually booked or very busy on the weekends. Weekday or daytime (before 6 PM), in general, is a good time to visit and pop into a local eatery with a good chance of getting immediate seating and maybe even on street parking. Walking around town and stopping in the small shops is something us locals love to do. The Bagel Barrel is very popular for morning coffee or lunch time sandwiches on a bagel. the bagels are made on site and are wonderfully fresh. Doylestown is a very family oriented place. On any given weekend, there is likely to be some type of event in the town center or nearby. There is even a Santa in the Christmas season. You can check the Borough website under visitors and events. Doylestown Borough has been named as the third best place in America to live by Leaf Filter North, Inc. "Doylestown is in a great location if you prefer to live in a smaller community while still living close to a big city like Philadelphia. It’s considered a borough, but don’t let that fool you.
