Our airbnbs are "conveniently secluded" amidst Amelia's gorgeous trees just 1 mile from the beach, and located on 1 of only 11 protected "canopy roads" in Nassau County! Mornings in your garden are dappled by tree-filtered sunshine & filled w/ birdsong. Afternoons/evenings are draped in shade and frequented by the sounds of pileated woodpeckers & barred owls! Come and enjoy! 😀 The space As avid Airbnb-ers know - Airbnbs are not hotels, they are experiences - and we think this is a PLUS! You will be guests in our private, quirky, home where we are permanent residents upstairs with our 3 big, furry family members (aka our dogs 😀) who you'll also see/hear romping in our backyard in view of your covered patio. Our guest garden is located on the side of the home and surrounded by a 6ft, vinyl fence for more privacy. Apartment: Your 2 room, basement apartment includes private bedroom w/ seating area, bathroom, and kitchen/dining area. The apartment is beachy in decor with a private sliding glass door for entrance that opens to a shaded patio for both apartments. Utilities: Both rooms of your apartment have independent, heating/ac units with remote controls and we also have natural, well water that feeds all faucets. Amelia Island's geology contains sulfur deposits which can lead to a sulfur smell from the taps so, we have a whole house water purifier system to minimize the occasional sulfur scent and we also provide our guests with 2 bottles of fresh water upon arrival to get you started on your "home away from home" stay. Bedroom: In your bedroom you'll find baskets of fresh linens for use during your stay, a king size bed with gel top mattress, a sofa, a large dresser, a large sliding door closet, a linen closet, and a 43" Roku Smart TV. We offer free use of our unlimited wifi as a courtesy (hosts cannot be responsible for outages or fluctuations in service beyond our control). Bathroom: Your 3/4 bathroom has a large vanity with large wall mirror and additional utility closet. Tiled 36" x 48" shower stall has dual handheld/fixed shower head. Kitchen: The galley style kitchen/dining area includes large dining table, Keurig, cookware/utensils, full size stove and microwave, and full size refrigerator/freezer. We provide our guests with a small kitchen basket with fresh dish towel, drying mat, sponge, and pot holders as well as 2 keurig cups for that first morning cup of coffee! ☕️ Outdoor amenities: Outside your sliding glass door you'll find a huge, nearly 500 sq foot, concrete patio which is shaded by a deck above. Each end of the large space has a sturdy and stylish HDPS table with 2 chairs for guests to dine privately, and in the center of the space we provide a bench and coffee table for gazing into our back garden or watching our doggies romp! 😀 At the side of our home we provide guests with their own open air, garden space which includes 4 adirondack chairs and two porch swings for use by both apartments. Please note that there are no maids/support staff as in a hotel, so we do ask guests to complete a few check out procedures (stripping bed, towels etc.) so we are able to offer no linen fees! 😀 Location, location, location: Your home away from home is centered on our beautiful island and surrounded by things to do!
