1898 Farmhouse on 75 acres - MJ's Farm
Nestled down a winding country road, relax and unwind on a traditional Wisconsin farm surrounded by a 2,296 acre Wildlife Area. Our farmhouse is licensed by Dane County & a short 20 minute drive to Madison! You will want a car so you can explore, the UW Campus, Allient Energy Center, WI State Capitol, Madison Farmers Market and much more. Relax, unwind, grill, play horse shoes or sit by the fire pit. Enjoy your privacy but know there is a farm manager close by and I am happy to help Prior to purchasing our farm it was home to 8,000 chickens producing on average 6,000 eggs per day. While we don't currently have any farm animals on the property you will see plenty of horses and cows on our street. Depending on the time of your visit you may enjoy picking apples, cherries, peaches or pears from our small orchard. We hope that you will make yourself at home and enjoy the expansive lawn. We have a horse shoe pit, playground equipment and plenty of space for your favorite lawn game. I travel frequently for business so I won't always be there to greet my guests however my farm manager lives on the property and he is wonderful. I am a short drive away and can be reached by phone or text if you have any questions. Rural Wisconsin at it's best. Even though you are only 25 minutes from downtown Madison it feels as though you are hours away from any town. You will need a car to explore the area. Plenty of parking at the farm we just ask that you please don't park on the grass. When driving down my street you will want to be cautious of wild animals, Primarily at dusk you will see deer, turkeys and pheasants and on a rare occasion a cow that has broken the fence. The Wildlife Area is home to many critters so please be careful.
