If you'd like to see our drone photos & videos, please visit our website of the same name, TheGSpotMaine, or our YouTube channel, The 'G' Spot Maine (sorry, Airbnb doesn't allow hyperlinks). If you've been thinking about a quiet getaway, then our new smaller 'spot', Little 'g' Cottage, might be of interest to you. You are welcome to contact us here with any questions that you may have or via ‘stay (at) littlegcottage (dot) ((com))’. ************* For those interested in a DownEast family vacation, we are accepting limited bookings at The 'G' Spot Maine. Please contact us via email to request rental information - stay (at) thegspotmaine (dot) {com}. What is The 'G' Spot Maine? It's our 3,600+/- square foot chalet-style home that was constructed in November 2018 and is full of upgrades & amazing water views through our 24-foot tall prow walls' huge windows & double 8-foot wide sliding doors! Those same doors lead to an expansive deck with incredible views of the water, woods, & wildlife beyond. Decorated in upscale nautical decor, both the main level and the upstairs loft offer clean, uncluttered nautical chic (<-- that's a relative term, of course, but we happen to really like our style). Main level: - Great Room; large & expansive with double 8-foot patio doors. - Master Bedroom - Master Bath - Guest Bedroom - Guest Bathroom - Kitchen: open-concept, with top-of-the-line appliances, self-closing doors/drawers & quartz countertops. - Dining area; also open-concept within the large Great Room - Laundry Room All areas are designed for your comfort and relaxation. Loft level: - 2nd Master Suite: large Loft area with plenty of room to stretch out, featuring a 'Sea & Air Travel' theme throughout. A wrought-iron king-size bed, as well as an antique brass full-size bed provide comfortable sleeping. The Loft also offers a twin trundle bed and a toddler bed. A flat-screen TV w/separate cable TV box, DVD player, and an ample supply of DVDs are included. - Bathroom: separate 'kraken-themed' bath with generously-sized slipper soaking tub and extra large double window. Basement level: Our basement is a step back in time, a modern version of a 1970s lodge theme. While the basement is our 'Maine Man Cave', it's not exclusively a man's domain. The basement features....well, a lot. - Rec Room: a stacked stone fireplace wall (and Vermont Casting's propane stove), a pull-out queen sleep sofa, various comfy chairs & recliners in order to kick-back and watch TV, a movie, or the superb ground-level views of the water (and visiting deer). The entertainment center features a flat-screen TV w/cable, DVD player and a variety of movies. There are also plenty of cards, board games, & books for younger family members. - Basement Bedroom: created in a '70's moose lodge' theme. It's a really fun space with a very comfortable queen-size bed (stacked with fuzzy blankets and quilts) and also a twin-size bed. While intentionally meant to be a bit kitschy, it's an extremely relaxing bedroom (promise) with its own separate TV/DVD and plenty of 'Maine mountain cabin' charm. :) - Dining/Poker/Cards area: with a large farm table for playing cards/poker, or for eating food fresh from the grilling station. - Game area: this area offers a chess/checkers table and a dart board. - Bar: the retro bar is nearing completion (only the installation of the bar top remains)! The bar is a dedication to Mr. G's career in Special Forces (Green Beret) and is a mix of lots of 'manly-man' things. - Half-Bath-Plus: the basement offers a fishing-themed half bath and a spacious outdoor shower (if you've never experienced an outdoor shower, just wait)! We provide hotel-size necessities (soap, shampoo, coffee, coffee filters/creamer/sweetener, cooking spices, paper towels, laundry & cleaning supplies), but there is a local grocery store and a dollar store just five (5) miles away in the Town of Milbridge if more supplies are needed. We supply the septic-safe toilet paper for all of our bathrooms. There is a Prijon tandem kayak that is available for guest use. We also supply paddles and varying sizes of life vests. All other kayaks & canoe on the property are our personal watercraft and are not available for guest use ~ please refer to our Airbnb Guidebook for information and contact numbers of local kayak/canoe rental companies if you’re interested in renting paddle boards or multiple watercraft. Thank you. Guest access You will have full, unfettered access to the house and property. We offer nearly 400 feet of private shoreline, along with four (4) private, densely-wooded acres, all yours to walk and enjoy. We are located on tidal ocean water, which means that, during that tidal change (please refer to our photos), there will be times (both day & night) when there will be very little water in our bay. The tidal shift at our location in Maine is usually a drop/increase of 11-14 feet. If you would like to view the high and low tide times for your particular week, please visit the USHarbors (dot) com website and search Milbridge Maine. Groups (of unrelated adults) are NO LONGER ALLOWED! We are NOT a party home, nor will we allow our home to be disrespected or left in disrepair. DO read our house rules! This is our HOME, not a commercial rental property. A list of House Rules will be forwarded for your signature, in order to ensure that you have completely read, and will abide by, them. We do require that our guests tidy-up after themselves upon departure (a large capacity washer & dryer are provided for guest use). This general tidying-up is not to be confused with our Airbnb cleaning fee, which is for the purpose of thoroughly cleaning & disinfecting, to Airbnb’s strict (post)COVID standards, our 3,600+/- sf home, as well as Saturday check-out trash removal & disposal (guests are responsible for trash removal on Tuesday mornings, if your stay includes Monday or Tuesday). Absolutely contact us with questions or to request a specific weekend. We respond very quickly and are always happy to help. Other things to note The 'G' Spot Maine is ideal as a secluded retreat. TO REITERATE: We are NOT a party home nor a rental space for multiple, unrelated adults; therefore NO GROUPS WILL BE ALLOWED. Our home is to be respected and left as clean & intact as when you arrive!! We're about an hour away (43 miles - driving around Frenchman Bay) from Acadia National Park & Bar Harbor (depending upon traffic, time of year, and chosen route), as well as numerous points of interest along the DownEast coast. Only 5 miles from the quaint town of Milbridge, where you'll find grocery shopping, gas stations, restaurants, police & fire stations, doctors offices (a veterinarian, too) and a pharmacy. McClellan Park, Pigeon Hill (local hiking spot), Petit Manan Nat'l Wildlife Refuge, whale-watching & sea tours, fishing wharfs, & lobster pounds are only minutes from the house. Literally. During the Summer months, there are free Friday night concerts at the Milbridge outdoor amphitheater, which is located at the Town Marina. Please refer to our 'Guidebook' link within this listing to see the many things to do & see! The 'G' Spot Maine was designed as a true getaway, a retreat, so while we have Starlink internet & DirectTV, it's really the 'disconnect' that makes this place so relaxing. :) **Les Canadiens, vous êtes invités à rester avec nous au «G» Spot Maine! Nous sommes situés à environ 7 heures de Québec et 8.5 heures de Montréal. Nous réjouissons de votre demande. Merci beaucoup!!l
