Eclectic Colonial Pond & Fireplace
Private room in an Airy, Spacious and Artsy 2 Story Colonial Home in Historic Green Acres District of Detroit. One block off Woodward Ave, the main avenue crossing Detroit. A sweeping backyard garden with an idyllic pond feature & indoor fireplace. This is a three bedroom, two story colonial with a cozy feel and a fantastic back yard with a pond and an indoor fireplace. We will provide you with delicious coffee and a variety of fruits and juices in the morning. The Guest room is warmly painted with evening light pouring in through the windows. It is furnished with a full-size bed, small desk, and cozy chair. We also provide a fan as there is no air-conditioning in the home. A third guest can set up our small, but comfortable cushion bed on the floor, or an air mattress for an extra cost. Guests will have full access to the kitchen and laundry and will be given a key to come and go as they please. We have many different streaming video services for those who may just want to relax on the couch with some in home entertainment. Other in-house services are available upon advance request and for an extra cost. A professional massage therapist is available at times to bring his table to our home for those who would like a little massage treatment. Guests will have access to all areas of the house, excluding the master bedroom, and are welcome to use the kitchen for preparing meals, the laundry machines, the backyard space for relaxing, grilling out, etc., and the living room for relaxing by the fire or just watching something on one of our many streaming services. Guests can determine the amount of interaction, but it should be noted that guests and friends are frequent here. We are in the historic Green Acres Neighborhood, just behind Woodlawn Cemetery at Woodward and 8 Mile. The neighborhood is safe and lovely and chiming with friendly neighbors. The house is within walking distance (1/2- 1mile) from fabulous ferndale, where there is an endless selection of bars and restaurants. To arrive at midtown or downtown from our home is a 10-15 minute drive. There is a bus system in Detroit, although I cannot speak for how dependable it is. Having a car or using Uber is probably best, as most things of interest in the city are quite near by. Upon Booking, please indicate an estimated time of arrival. It helps us to organize our schedule. Thanks.
