Lac Des Roache is located on BC’s “fishing highway” and is considered an angler’s dream. The Lakehouse is unfenced, so pets are NOT currently welcome. The Lakehouse has 3 bedrooms (2 upstairs and 1 on the main floor) and offers a variety of sleeping options to accommodate our guests’ needs. The waterfront Master bedroom with a king sized bed (firm foam mattress topper) boasts expansive lake and mountain views with wall to wall windows and 18’ ceilings. This room also offers a Queen pull out sofa bed for those with children who prefer to sleep in the same room. The upstairs mountain view bedroom also offers a King bed (medium/soft foam mattress topper) as well as full sized wooden crib for those travelling with an infant. Both of the upstairs bedrooms offer incredibly high 18’ ceilings, with ceiling fans and sleek pot lights. The main floor mountain view bedroom offers two (2) twin beds. The livingroom couch is also a queen sized pull out sofabed. We restrict the rental of the Lakehouse to 6 to ensure the most comfort for our guests’ stay. We have small children and understand that sleeping arrangements can be “tricky” with kids, so offer the extra space if it’s required, but maximum capacities are enforced. The Lakehouse bedrooms offer large closets with ample storage for your things. Luxurious bedding and towels have been curated to enhance your relaxation while at the Lakehouse. The fully equipped gourmet chef’s kitchen includes elegant quartz countertops, soft close cabinets, custom backsplash and premium stainless steel appliances including a gas range, dishwasher, fridge, microwave and wine bar. Cooking with views of the lake makes cooking infinitely more enjoyable! The kitchen island has seats for 8 (and a high chair can be provided for those travelling with infants/toddlers) and offers spectacular lake and mountain views. The kitchen is stocked with all the cooking utensils you could need as well as some basics (saran wrap, salt/pepper, cooking spray, tea, coffee – because really, who enjoys packing their own S&P?!?) After enjoying the incredibly fresh air, you’ll enjoy being able to relax in the Lakehouse’s open concept living/dining area. A custom made sofa and occasional chairs invite you to relax by the tiled, floor to ceiling feature wall with an electric fireplace while watching the lake. The flat screen t.v. is connected with Apple TV, Crave, Prime and Netflix for those who aren’t quite ready to truly unplug (the struggle is real!). The kitchen island is stocked with a variety of board games for the young and young at heart to enjoy at the coffee table or island. The Lakehouse is the perfect spot to curl up with a great book. If you forget to pack one, we always have a selection available for our guests to enjoy during their stay. The spa inspired bathrooms offer tubs with rain showers and floating glass shower doors, and ample storage for personal toiletries. The mudroom keeps your shoes and coats contained and is where you’ll find the washer and dryer, stocked with detergent and dryer balls, in case you need to clean any of your clothes while you’re there …but let’s hope the laundry can wait until you get home as no one should have to do laundry on vacation! Guest access The Lakehouse can be accessed with your customized entry code that will be provided in advance of your stay. While here, you'll have access to our patio, BBQ and a climbing dome for the kids. During the Summer, we have 2 adult and 2 kid kayaks available for your use (subject to executing a standard form release & waiver). You can also enjoy a few rounds of bocce, croquet or frisbee during your stay. Summer activities: swimming, fishing, boating, tubing, waterskiing, wakeboarding, hiking, canoeing, paddle boarding, golfing, horseback riding, biking, ATV’ing. We have lots of space to park your trailer hauling your toys! Winter: ice skating, ice fishing, cross country skiing, snow shoeing, snowmobiling Wildlife is abundant with deer, fox, otters and eagles often seen on the property. Always ensure you keep a safe distance. There is a boat launch just minutes from the Lakehouse. We do not supply boats but fishing boats can be easily rented from a nearby resort and we can assist you with the contact & reservation details. If you have young children, please bring a lifejacket for them to wear anytime they are near the water. We provide limited data WiFi so you can receive emails, texts and use your apps however, it’s not intended for downloading of movies or apps. Other things to note We really like our neighbours (they’re actually our parents) and want them to continue to like us. So, if you like to party, please choose a different property – Airbnb offers a ton of wicked, awesome party places – this just isn’t one of them. This is a family orientated, quiet Lakehouse, so it is best for quiet guests or a family that can comply with the 10pm-8am quiet hours. The Lakehouse has exterior security cameras filming the driveway and front entrance and the patio entrance. We are on a septic system so really appreciate you avoiding excessively long showers and only putting TP in the toilet.
