You'll feel the warmth of her eclectic cottage decor on the main floor giving way to the rustic retreat downstairs. Enjoy the friendly mountain town of Hill City, explore the countryside with a bike ride or walk on the Mickelson trail. Get to Mt Rushmore in about 20 minutes via 3 routes. This four bedroom home is on 3 levels. One bedroom is on the main floor with bathroom with tub/shower and stackable washer dryer just across the hall. Two bedrooms are up a full flight of stairs with a 1/2 bath ( simply a toilet and sink) in between ~ truly a "water closet" but sure beats running downstairs in the middle of the night. There is a lovely balcony off of each upstairs bedroom with sliding door to let cool breezes flow through. The 4th bedroom, a king suite is down a full flight of stairs off the family room which has an adjacent bathroom with spacious walk in shower. There is Cable TV with DVD player in this basement family room. CHECK IN : After 4 pm Mountain Time and preferably before 6 pm Mountain Time - early or late check in possible with prior arrangement. Please check in and pick up keys at owner operated Pine Rest Cabins , 24063 Hwy 385 , just 1/2 mile south of the cottage. For late arrivals call 605-574-2416 to make arrangements. Off hours emergency numbers are posted in the cottage. CHECK OUT: 11:00 am, strict check out policy required in order to ready the cottage for the next occupants. After 8:30 am we'd appreciate it if you'd drop the keys off at the Perky Pine Cafe at Pine Rest Cabins. Thank you for staying with us! MAXIMUM OCCUPANCY - Please take note of the maximum number of guests allowed in the cottage ( 10 - including infants children) and that will put two people on the couches. Exceptions to this must be made prior to arrival and will be considered on an individual basis. A fee may be assessed for additional occupants. Sorry NO PETS allowed . Hill City is a friendly mountain town , quiet in the winter, bustling with activity in the summer. Tracy Park and the Burlington Northern trail head are just around the bend from Alice's . You'll find a variety of wonderful shops filled with anything from outdoor gear to jewelry and fine art. We are pleased to have a year round community with great churches, dining, groceries, fuel, hardware and a variety of indoor and outdoor activities. Board the 1880 train just a few blocks from Alice's and be sure to visit the SD State Railroad Museum . History buffs will like the CC Museum at the visitor information center on the north side of town and be amazed at the dinosaur and fossil specimens at The Black Hills Institute of Geology - former home of famous T-Rex "Sue". SPRING CREEK runs through Hill City in the back yard- though it is fenced, keep an eye on naturally curious little folks! We are also next door to a campground, and are happy to refer camping members of your group to our neighbors. Sorry no camping is allowed on site . HOUSEKEEPING SERVICE – While linens and bath towels are included in the unit, daily maid service is not included in the rental rate. The basics are provided for your own house keeping and laundry. MAINTENANCE - Please notify us of any maintenance problems in the home and they will be handled in a timely and professional manner. The rental rate will not be adjusted due to any malfunction of equipment, which includes but is not limited to TV’s, DVD players, air conditioning units, hot water heaters, stoves, refrigerators and door locks. DAMAGES - Guest understands they are responsible for any damages or theft and will be charged accordingly. FIRES – Guests understand that the rental is located in the Black Hills National Forest Protection District. Fireworks and campfires are prohibited. You will be held responsible for any and all damages. Use of the gas grill may be restricted by the National Forest during times of high fire danger .
