Private Cabin on Savary Island

Relax with the whole family at this peaceful cabin. Located in the forest, with a five minute walk to beaches on the north and south side of the island. The space Quality wood cabin situated on small meadow in the woods. Large covered patio, two bedrooms, kitchen/dining/living area, wood-burning stove, propane fridge and stove, solar powered (panels on the roof), deep well with electrical pump for water. Guest access Complete privacy. Listing includes the whole property with no other guests at the same time. Other things to note PLEASE BRING LINEN AND TOWELS. THERE ARE NO WASHER OR DRYER. ALL GARBAGE MUST BE TAKEN OFF ISLAND FOR DISPOSAL. These are some guidelines for off grid living and this cabin that will make your stay a success: First, a few must bring items in addition to your personal things: - Linens - Towels - Toilet paper 1. Key: a. There is a lock box on the beam close to the front door. You will receive the code separately. Most of the time we are on island and will leave the door open. 2. Water: a. We are on a deep well system and mindful water consumption would be appreciated. Short showers, no baths please, don’t leave the taps running. b. DO NOT DRINK WATER FROM THE TAP. It is likely not a problem, but since it is stored in a holding tank before entering the house, its better to avoid it. c. DRINKING WATER is provided in large bottles in the kitchen. The water is pumped directly from a deep well and we use this for drinking ourselves. 3. Sewage a. The cabin has a septic field behind the house under the grassy area. To maintain it in good working order, please DO NOT PUT ANYTHING BUT HUMAN WASTE and paper in the toilet. There is a separate bin next to the toilet for female products. b. PLEASE BRING TOILETPAPER. 4. Energy: a. The cabin has eight solar panels on the roof. On sunny days in the summer these provide enough power to run the water pumps, provide light and charging for cellphones, laptops, the fridge, and the freezer. Please turn off lights and electrical equipment while not in use. b. We use propane for cooking and hot water. The stove works the same way as a gas-powered stove in the city. 5. Garbage a. There is no garbage disposal on Savary Island. Please take all garbage with you when you leave. 6. Sleeping arrangements: a. There are two bedrooms: i. The master bedroom has a king size bed and a queen sofa-bed with a foam mattress as a topper. ii. The 2nd bedroom has a standard queen bed. iii. There is even a day bed outside on the deck if someone is feeling brave. iv. There are four queen duvets and plenty of pillows in the cabin. v. PLEASE BRING TOWELS AND LINEN.
