The Fitzpatrick Hotel

The iconic Fitzpatrick Hotel, built in 1898, is the oldest operational business in the Downtown Washington district. This boutique hotel allows guests a peek back in time while also offering all the amenities of a more traditional, modern hotel including: private bathrooms, breakfast, climate controlled rooms, and an upscale hotel bar. The space The Fitzpatrick Hotel, which is located on the Courthouse Square, was originally constructed in 1898 and served the thriving county seat of Wilkes County until 1952, at which time the hotel and dining room were closed. After 50 years of neglect, the hotel was purchased by the Fitzpatrick LLC in 2002. An intensive restoration plan culminated with the re-opening of the grand hotel in June 2004.
