The space Welcome to our unique mother-in-law apartment! Looking for a place to rest, sleep on a brand new KING SIZE BED (arrived in December 2024). Our property boasts great views and sunsets, a forest with hiking and mountain biking trails next door, and vistas. A delight for photographers and outdoor enthusiasts. The Fig Tree Suite is above our garage. At the base of the stairs to the apartment is our Desert King fig tree, planted in 2000. Feast on the figs (when they are in season, usually mid August). The Fig Tree Suite lake view apartment is roughly 600 sq ft with an open studio layout and sits above our garage looking southwest towards Clear Lake and the Olympic Mountains. You may wake to the sound of a crowing rooster. Ravens, hawks and eagles are common sights from the view off of the balcony. Wifi is available. Our laundry room is on our back porch where you can wash your clothes. Our location is semi-rural, just 4 miles from Mount Vernon. For traveling professionals we are close to Skagit Valley Hospital in Mount Vernon and Peacehealth in Sedro Woolley, and several businesses in the area. This is an ideal location for the outdoor enthusiast with easy access to the foothills of the North Cascade Mountains, Mount Baker, Skagit River, Clear Lake, as well as La Conner, Deception Pass and the San Juan Islands. Located just 70 miles north of Seattle and 50 miles south of the US/Canadian border in Skagit Valley. Clear Lake is great for paddle boarding. If you like to paddle bring your board. We will provide a parking permit for lake access. Our tiny town of Clear Lake has a quaint historical museum, post office, gas station, tavern, 2 churches and an elementary school. Throughout the skagit valley there is plenty of shopping and dining to be enjoyed, numerous art galleries and museums, and local festivals throughout the year, such as the Bald Eagle Festival, Skagit Valley Tulip Festival, the Anacortes Arts and Crafts Festival. Bellingham is just a 30 minute drive, or you can take your time via the scenic route (45 minutes to an hour) up Chuckanut Drive and take in amazing views of the San Juan Islands. After a day of activity, come back to the Fig Tree suite, relax, have a sip and enjoy the view. Guest access Guests will use of the entire apartment, and please feel free to roam the property and explore your surroundings. Parking in specially designated area; there will be a sign in front of the garage for FigTree Parking. Please be mindful of deer when driving in and out of the property. Check-in and out can be flexible if there are no bookings on either end of your stay. Feel free to ask. Other things to note Cleaning fee is adjusted based on length of stay.
