a small studio condo: a fairly private bedroom (no door) and a sleeper sofa in the living room; best for 2, but sleeps 4. There is a very small screened balcony. The one bath has a shower. The guest section of the closet has hanging space, several shelves and drawers; the bedside tables have 4 compartments each. The kitchen has basic kitchenware; we provide sheets, towels, beach towels, and basic bathroom necessities. Looking for Budget accommodations close to beach The space perfect for couples or a single person. We offer a privacy wall between the bedroom area (queen size bed) and the living room (includes a full size sofa bed). The kitchen is stocked with basics for cooking, but we don’t stock food. While the Sarasota area is easy to navigate, we provide a "cheat sheet" with directions to the places you might most like to go; and phone numbers - emergency, near by restaurants, kayak rentals, etc. We strongly recommend having a car during your vacation. We provide limited cable TV and high-speed Internet access. Guest access Laundry facilities (requires quarters) are on the property, across the drive from our condo. It costs 1.75 per wash and 1.75 per dry in the new large capacity washer/dryers. Please note this is a NO SMOKING condo. In consideration of others we ask that you do not smoke in the condo, on the balcony or on the stairs. Please go across the street and enjoy a little walk while you smoke. We thank you in advance for adhering to this rule. When you leave the beach shower at one of the several shower stations offered for that purpose. Before you go up to the condo please shower again at the pool, and rinse any toys, etc. Do not empty sandy clothes, towels, shoes, toys in the condo. This is critical for our plumbing! Other things to note *** We regret that we can no longer accept dogs. *** Since we are on the second floor there is one set of stairs to climb. Access is from either end of the building - covered stairs in the front and closest to the condo; open stairs at the other end. When you come back from the beach you must shower off at the pool before going to the condo, and rinse/shake out any beach items outside. The plumbing for the units cannot handle the sand. PLEASE respect this house rule. The pool and laundry facility are both open from 9am to 10pm. Beach towels chairs and umbrellas are on n the unit Grocery stores can be found about 6 miles up Longboat Key, or 5 miles into Sarasota. Therefore a car is a real convenience, though Uber is also available. Again, we cannot allow smoking on the premises.
