This private year round camp is exceptionally well located, within the entrance to the Narrow Gauge and Carrabasset river trails with easy access to hiking, biking, and skiing. From our backyard you will find yourself in the heart of the Maine Huts and Trails trail system. Across from Carrabasset Valley you will be at Sugarloaf in a few minutes while using convenient mountain shuttle service. Minutes to outdoor center and sugarloaf golf course. Our camp has a sauna and sits on a quiet stream. Super nice, cozy rustic cabin feel but also spacious with a nice new kitchen, gas fireplace, washer/dryer, sauna and plenty of sleeping space. Please note that the stairs is a bit steep. Located on the South Branch Carrabasset River stream, with the bedroom window open, sleeping couldn't be better. This is our house, our place to relax, hike, bike, ski, and hang with friends. We are happy to share our camp with you. We keep it very clean but you will still see some of our belongings. We keep the closet with our stuff, we leave some food and spices in the cabinets and fridge - which you can use if you forget something. Please understand this is not a hotel, it is a rustic camp with some modern features camp and we welcome you here. We live in South Portland. We are readily available via phone, text or email. The road is kid and dog friendly and social if you want to be but we are also set way back and private on a dead end road. Great parking and consistent shuttle access to sugarloaf during ski season. We have a very nice electric outdoor sauna by the stream. The camp is in a really friendly neighborhood with a few families that love to recreate. But the house is setback and very private. We are a only 10 minute drive to stratton and flagstaff lake for swimming and boating as well as a shuttle ride away from the mountain and restaurants as well as the beautiful sugarloaf golf course.
