We honor privacy and value courtesy and connection. If you see us, please acknowledge us with a greeting of hello or good bye. We want you to feel comfortable in our home and we want to remain comfortable too. Other things to note HOUSE: Must climb stairs to reach the house. This is a modest 1950's ranch style home with a big back yard and multiple relaxing seating areas in the front and the back. Newly insulated and new double pane windows keep things warm in the winter and cool in the summer. Summer evenings are generally cool and the bedrooms are equipped with 3-speed ceiling fans that circulate the cool night air perfectly for a good nights sleep. We are currently installing a mini split AC/Heat unit in this room. It should be No shoes inside. We recommend house slippers or socks for the house. SHARED BATHROOM: The single bathroom is shared by the entire household. . We have hair dryers and several mirrors in each of the bedrooms freeing up the bathroom for toilet & shower activity. We are conscientious and clean the bathroom daily, sometimes multiple times a day. If there is a scheduled activity and a guest wants to reserve the bathroom for a certain time frame (example, the hour before a wedding) then we communicate with other guests, if any, so no worries. It really does run smoothly. KITCHEN: Light kitchen use upon request. Since this is our primary residence please request in advance of stay. A small bin can be provided for a few items in the fridge. BIKES: We have two used bikes guests can use for FREE upon request! DISCLAIMER: The user assumes all risk for any injuries or difficulties that may result. Bicycling can be a dangerous activity and users always engage in recreational activities at their own risk. FEE: There will be a $200 fee IF the bike is stolen or is not returned. PETS: While we don’t allow pets due to the shared house, we love to care for our son’s dogs Shy & Routt, on the very rare occasions we get asked. Should we get a request when guests have reserved a bedroom, we will notify you and get your permission before accepting dog care. If it’s an emergency, we will keep the dogs out of the main house.
