There are 5 guest rooms in our home. We're just 20 minutes from downtown Dallas, located near hospitals, schools and other places of employment, but nestled in a hidden wooded area of Duncanville where no two homes are alike. A person's home is his castle, and we want to share our castle with you. We've been Airbnb hosts for about two years now and have loved the experience so much that we decided to design and build a home with you in mind. Fresh new rooms await you, pretty tile and castle stone adorn the bathrooms, and the laundry room with mini-kitchen, including a full-sized refrigerator, a microwave oven, a toaster, and a sink give you the option of solitude, privacy, and quick meals, but of course you're welcome to do real cooking in our main kitchen. We love coffee and tea, and so our coffee bar is open for you to enjoy. The surrounding area is wooded, and the rolling hills offer you the opportunity for a morning or evening stroll where you'll encounter various birds and squirrels. In the distance, you might even hear the occasional rooster crow. Each bedroom is keyed so you can be assured of your privacy. You'll share 2.5 bathrooms with 4 other guests. Other areas you'll share are the laundry room, the living room, the library/sitting area, the kitchen, and the dining area. We like getting to know our guests, but we understand that some may have very busy schedules or may need to be in a quiet space. Either way, you are very welcome and we want your stay to be pleasant. The neighborhood is quiet and wooded. The roads in this division were designed with many T junctions so that there would never be any fast traffic moving through our area. When you get here you'll think you're in some far-off woodland, but in reality, I-20 is just a few minutes away, so it's easy to jump on the freeway and get to where you need to go. Downtown Dallas is about 25 minutes away, DFW airport is about 30, and Fortworth about 35 minutes away, depending on traffic. There are numerous stores and restaurants a few minutes drive from our house: Subway, Mr. Jim’s Pizza, Thibodeaux's Cajun Cookin', Boston Market, Amore’s Pasta and Pizza, The Pelican House Restaurant, Aldi, Tom Thumb, Dollar Store, Walgreens, CVS, Walmart, and many more. Also there’s a new workout place you might want to try: “Workout Anytime”. It’s in the shopping center near Aldi. And don’t forget the famous Ben Franklin Apothecary, the “Old Fashioned Deli & Soda Fountain” in old downtown Duncanville. Unfortunately we don't have much of a public transportation system in Duncanville or in Dallas, for that matter, so if you don't have your own car, your best bet is to use Uber or Lyft. All guests must be disclosed on the booking and paid for in advance. These will be considered 'authorized'. A guest is any adult or child at the property, whether staying the night or visiting. No unauthorized guests may be on the property at any time.
