Rice Farm Hideaway; A little slice of heaven.

This sweet post & beam house is located near town yet private and tucked away in the woods, cozy & comfortable, pet friendly, close to ATV & snowmobile trails, and Baxter State Park, Katadhin Woods and Water, plus numerous lakes and the beautiful Penobscot River. The house can comfortably sleep up to 6 people. The living area is open and sunny with a big kitchen. There is plenty of parking for recreational trailers. Come enjoy a rewarding climb up Katahdin or grab a book and read on the deck. The space Find your inner peace at this private, quiet gem in the woods. The post and beam house has a cathedral ceiling with tall glass windows, beautiful beams, complimented by an open floor plan with living room, dining, and kitchen areas. The first floor bedroom has a full sized brass bed, and a spaciousl bathroom is right across the hall with a tile shower and claw foot tub. The living room futon sleeps 2. Upstairs is a spacious loft/bedroom with a twin bed and a pull out full sized couch. The full basement has a washer & dryer. The large deck has a gas grill, seating, and string lights for evening enjoyment. The backyard is grass bordered by trees. Dogs are welcome and can play safely in the large yard. The dog fee is $25 for up to two dogs. There is a not a charge for service dogs. Please do not leave your dog unattended at the house if you plan on being gone all day. We suggest bringing a portable kennel or board your pets for the day at Katahdin Kritters in East Millinocket. Note that dogs are not allowed in Baxter State Park. Dogs are allowed on the Sebois Trail on the Penobscot River Trails. The occupancy base price for one night is $180.00 for 1-2 guests. Each additional guest is $25.00. The maximum number of guests is 6. The reservation request must reflect the number of people staying at the house. This is required in the event of an emergency. If you need to modify your reservation by changing the date or modifying the number of guests, contact us as soon as possible. We use a Roku camera doorbell to record arrivals & departures. even when there are no guests at the house. This is the only recording device on the premises. The audio is disabled. You can find us through the FIND FIDO page, too! Guest access All areas of the house are accessible to guests. Other things to note We are happy to host medical students/ professionals for long term stays. We are located as a perfect hub for Millinocket, Houlton, and Bangor. Ask about long term discounts. ATV & SNOWMOBILES - There is a large paved parking area at the house for several utility trailers. ATV trails are accessible in town. Guests can trailer to North Timber Cruisers in Millinocket or East Branch Sno-Rovers in Medway for excellent trail access. DOGS - We are DOG friendly but also highly recommend pet boarding at Katahdin Kritters in East Millinocket, minutes from the house. Please do not leave your dog alone in the house if you are going to be gone for the day unless it is safely contained in a crate. We love dogs and have a great big backyard that is perfect for playing frisbee with your dog. Note that there is a $25 fee for 1-2 dogs. There is no charge for a service dog. The big deck is perfect for stargazing at night. CATS - Please ask about our pet policy.
