Escape to our recently renovated guest house on a 12-acre property, 15min from Hudson. Take in the rural setting through oversized glass doors. The space The guest house is 100 meters from the main house and is oriented in the opposite direction to maintain privacy & the guests house has a 2 acre lawn all its own. The main floor has oversized glass doors overlooking a swimming pond, also referred to as a natural pool, and the 12 acre property, which is half wooded and half open. Please note that the house and the barn are rented separately (unless of course you have rented both) and the pond is a shared amenity for both houses. There are split units for heat and air conditioning (new in late 2023!) but also a wood burning stove if you wish to use it. In the warm weather, swim in the pond or picnic on the rolling hills, but mostly take in the peace and beauty of this magical space. We are 45 min from both Hunter & Catamount Mountains, but plenty to do closer to home! Take a sauna and run down the hill into the pond or roll in the snow in the winter - and if the conditions are right, you can also ice skate on the pond. Upstairs there are two bedrooms (both queen beds) as well as a large open loft. The loft has a futon couch and a day bed, which can also be made into 2 twin beds upon request. The loft is perfect for yoga & meditation, as well as kids playroom. Please note that there is only one bathroom which is downstairs. Guests always tell us that we have a very clean and comfortable space -memory foam mattresses and hypoallergenic bedding are updated often. The kitchen is small but has all you need in it and with all the farms nearby it’s so fun to cook and grill here. Outside there’s a grill and picnic table as well as lounge chairs in the summer season. We provide a pack n play, kids toys and a stair gate, which can be moved to the top or bottom of the spiral staircase. We have 2 kids ourselves and they love the loft area. But please note that the spiral staircase is vintage and does have about 12-16 inches between ballasts. The guest house is about 100 yards from our main house and we share the pond (natural pool). You can see an arial shot of the property at the end of the photos. There's a collection of music instruments & the barn has a great collection of games! Guest access Guests share the 12 acre property (half wooded) with us and we share the pond for swimming/skating. Other things to note - The spiral staircase is a bit steep with 12-18 inches between ballasts and is the only staircase in the house, so is not recommended for those with trouble on stairs. - The only bathroom is downstairs, and 2 bedrooms plus sleeping loft are upstairs. - Theres no dishwasher or washer/dryer. This is a converted barn, which is really fun (!) but please note those call outs!
