Acadia Park Region - Quiet Lakeside Cabin, Great Views!

Enjoy the peaceful setting overlooking picturesque George's Pond in quiet Franklin, Maine. Franklin is conveniently located half way between the Mt Desert Island and Schoodic sections of Acadia National Park (apporx 45 minutes to each). Rental includes use of entire A-frame cabin which is next door to owner's residence and shares a common driveway. Loft sleeping area is accessed via a "ladder style stairway". Lots of open ground around the cabin for games and relaxing. Shared camp fire pit overlooking lake is great for star gazing on a clear night. Fish, swim or boat in the lake or simply enjoy the views. Fine dining, entertainment, shopping, whale watching, hiking, biking, and site-seeing are only a short distance away. NOTES: Water is not potable. Water is fine for showers, washing dishes, etc. Owners provide 2 gallons of drinking water per guest, per stay. Guests are asked to bring additional bottled, as needed. Fireplace is decorative only.
