Stone House Natural Life - Assos Loft 1953

This unique loft offers a quiet getaway, an opportunity to slow down and relax. Breathe, Bloom, Belong The space We couldn't find the exact date of construction, but we understood when the old grandfathers said that the infidels built this place. The cornerstones were laid one by one by Greek stonemasons from the island of Lesbos, who carved the stones by hand in the kepi karma style... It was used as a granary for years, and in 1953, Mustafa Sergeant, a woodworker from his father, turned it into a carpenter's workshop and started to give life to the pines of Mount Ida with the Czechoslovak-made diesel planer that came to the village without electricity. The delicate and balanced roofs, handcrafted furniture, and rare wooden collections of the region have all come out of this workshop, which was left idle after the death of Sergeant Mustafa in 1990. They said this was an uninhabitable ruin, but we loved it and wanted to transform it into a loft living space in 2021, staying true to the original. We exhibited some of the memorabilia left by Mustafa Sergeant in our garden, and used some of them in our wooden decorations. Guest access Our house has an open loft concept with a mezzanine floor, and the 3rd person will use our sofa bed downstairs, which is a 140x200 double bed when opened. The necessary equipment for your holiday will be prepared in advance. The small village grocery store, where you can meet your basic food and beverage needs, is 100 meters away. We understand you and we know your sensitivity, we do detailed cleaning in accordance with hygiene rules using disinfectant. A wet stamp & signed reservation document is provided so that you can travel smoothly on days when there is a travel ban.
