Cozy 1882 Farmhouse-10 minutes from Wine Country

Getaway to The Farmhouse located in the quiet country near Hermann, Berger and New Haven. Gather with friends and family where children will enjoy space to run/play in and gathering for s'mores around an evening fire. The area boasts of wineries with weekends of fun themed festivities. Set rate on first two guests $145/night (smart pricing in effect on event weekends) . $55 each additional guest/night. Infant- 2 yrs. free, 3-12 $30/night Pets: $30 each pet/one time charge The space The Farmhouse was built in the later 1880's and will remind you of those nostalgic visits to grandma's house or what one might read about of "growing up on the farm." It is a wonderful place to take the family for a weekend away from the hustle and bustle of city life to slow down and be refreshed. It has an enclosed sun porch set up with a dining table, game cabinet and puzzle table. The kitchen is well stocked for preparing meals, four bedrooms and a living room for gathering for visits and games. There is also a back porch complete with porch swing and outside areas for games, walks and more talks. There is a fire-pit area with roasting sticks and a sweet time of roasting marshmallows awaiting your visit. There is a front porch deck where you can visit and relax. There is a glider swing for children's play that can be watched from this perch too. The only outbuilding that is available for guests is the big barn. There is a wonderful seating area outside and a slide, ping pong table, and barn swing. This area is the only out-building open to our guests with the understanding it is a barn, not a polished rec center. The paved country road is well suited for relaxing walks. The property is surrounded by farmland and an equipment barn that the farmer may switch implements but is set away from the farmhouse/barn. The owners have recently moved down to the property to a small cottage building. You may see their car(s) but the farmhouse stands alone as a private home. Guest access Guests will have access to the entire house, the outside porches, the big barn and fire area. The other out buildings are our private storage and shop areas. With a full calendar of summer reservations our guests need to understand that we may have come on the grounds for water and garden upkeep. We communicate with our guests concerning those situations which happen only with extended stays or high temperatures. Other things to note The Farmhouse is set up with Wi-Fi but no tv service. We have added a booster that has improved cell service, except for Verizon, which does not do well for anyone in the area. We hope that you find the Farmhouse a place to unplug from technology. It is our hope that time away from the routine of life encourages families, individuals, and couples to spend time connecting and building memories with each other. There is a "puzzle table" set up, games available, a kitchen to practice culinary skills, a paved country road to walk, a campfire area and outside areas to explore, and peaceful surroundings to sit and soak in country living. There is a house in view but there are no close neighbors. The country road is lightly traveled but you probably won't notice any road travel as you are set back away from it.
