An event is defined as any gathering at the CABIN greater than the 4 - person occupancy rule. Events may also be subject to an additional deposit to be determined by the type of event and the amount of guests. - EVENT INSURANCE IS REQUIRED for a gathering of more than the maximum amount of people. COMMERCIAL USE - Commercial photography, videography will also be subject to fees, deposits, and contracts. It is the customers responsibility to obtain and pay for all fees, deposits, and valid contracts as well as county permits and insurance required and will be held liable for any fine or lawsuit for failing to do so. The neighbors are few and spread out on the eastern side of the lake. The western side of the lake is left natural, and is now a Conservation Area. ( Enjoy lots of privacy on this lake!) You may see a few of our neighbors fishing, kayaking, canoeing, swimming or even having a nightly cookout, but this lake is not open to the public, so you will enjoy this factor alone! BUCKSPORT'S HOMETOWN CHARM - The CABIN is only 7 - 10 minutes from Downtown Bucksport, the Bucksport Waterfront Walk and the Bucksport Marina. Across the river in Prospect, is the Penobscot River/Narrows Bridge next to Fort Knox and the Bridge Observatory. VERONA ISLAND - This island is connected by bridge to Bucksport, you will drive through this island if you’re heading south on Coastal Route 3 on your way to Belfast, Rockland and Camden. Leaving your CABIN and heading into The town of Bucksport - Go South on State Road 46 - There are charming shops, restaurants, ice cream parlors, local drug stores, a Dollar store, a Subway sandwich shop, pizza shop, local grocer, and Hannafords food store in Downtown Bucksport. Leaving your CABIN and heading towards Bangor/ Brewer - Go North on State Road 46 - 17-18 Minutes away, is the town of Brewer, there is more shopping and restaurants, both local and chain. Groceries and liquor can be purchased at Hannaford's in downtown Bucksport at the south end of State Road 46, north on State Road 46 there is also a grocery/convenience store/Dunkin Doughnuts/groceries /and gas station at the corner of State Road 46 & 1-A . GETTING TO THE BONNIE LASS CABIN - Taxi service is available from the airport and locally in the town of Bucksport, but rental car is preferred. PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION - Local taxi, no buses available at this time. WE CAN PROVIDE TRANSPORTATION — Please ask the Host prior to your arrival, we can arrange private pick up to and from the cabin from the nearest airport or bus station. Our properties on Long Pond and other nearby lakes are “Stay and Play” so if you only need the occasional personalized trip or two during your stay, we can provide that at special rates, please inquire prior to booking your cabin stay! YOU MUST BE AT LEAST - [ 25 ] - YEARS OLD TO BOOK THIS CABIN…… The guest that books the CABIN must be 25 years old or older, any additional guests must be at least 21 or older. The renovation is primarily taking place in the live-in basement and the owner is occasionally at the property with several of her cocker spaniels. This main building is being transformed into being an outstanding Bed & Breakfast and the property will be available as a Wedding Venue, a Family Reunion Venue as well as a Grand Celebratory Venue, scheduled for 2024.) NOTE - All cabin guests can enjoy the property as well as the discounted amenities and amenities packages as the back deck to the main house is for the exclusive use of guests! The basement and the first floor of the main house are for the owners use and the back of the home’s sliding glass doors have been sealed and covered for your privacy! * NOTE - OWNER RIGHTS. The owner may stay in the private walk-out basement of the home next to the cabin during your stay, the renovation is taking place inside of the home and she will need to be onsite to oversee any work scheduled for the main homes interior renovation. ( The basement apartment is underground, and your privacy is highly respected! ) * FISHING - (Guides, Gear and Licenses.) Information on our body of water can be easily found on the internet. Please do an internet search for "Long Pond, Bucksport, Maine" for more information on the over 20 species of edible fish in the pond as well as the length and depth of Long Pond. Fishing licenses can be pre-purchased for you and professional fishing guides can be hired through us to assist and provide gear for new and skilled anglers alike. We have fishing gear and tackle, we have a limited supply so please reserve these items at the time of your booking. * WATER SAFETY - CAUTION - ( Any water activities you chose to do are at your own risk. There is no lifeguard on duty. ) * LOCAL RESIDENTIAL WILDLIFE - For our ‘wildlife loving’ guests, there are certainly ever present friendly critters! We are adding more bird feeders and birdhouses after last winters storms, please bare with us this season! You may feed the birds with bird food in the appropriate feeders, but PLEASE DO NOT TRY TO TOUCH ANY OF THE WILDLIFE, and do not feed them human food. OUR DUCK FAMILY - * ( Bread for the ducks is fine, just place broken up bread pieces on the dry shoreline close to the waters edge.) * CHIMENEA/FIRE SAFETY - Lighting a fire? A campfire or even a cigarette outdoors? PLEASE - Make note of where the water hose is! ABSOLUTELY NO UNATTENDED FIRES! Extinguish all fires before leaving or retiring for the night! ( Properly extinguish 🧯 any smoking 🚬 material and dispose of cigarette butts in the container located in the parking area, no smoking near any buildings or forested areas!) - CAUTION - ( Purchase your premium firewood from us, we are more than affordable and free from bugs like lice and ticks! ) - Use caution when purchasing wood from roadside stands as we have been made aware of guest buying roadside firewood that contains biting Insects , Poison Ivy and Poison Oak! * HOT TUB - ( IMPORTANT !!! ) The hot tub has a set of fold-down steps on the outer housing and it MUST BE CLOSED UP after every use so that critters will not enter into the housing of the hot tub and become trapped and DIE. 🦦 🐿 🦨 🐾 * CAUTION - ABSOLUTELY ........ No pregnant women or anyone with a heart condition or any other health conditions may enter the hot tub. ( Anyone who chooses to use the hot tub does so at their own risk. ) * PLEASE SHOWER OFF BEFORE ENTERING AND PLEASE DO NOT ADD ANY ADDITIVES TO THE TUB WATER. * ALCOHOL CONSUMPTION - Notice: If you request us to pre-purchase alcohol or if you bring any alcoholic beverages for consumption to the cabin or on the property, please note the Federal legal age for purchase or consumption of alcohol is 21 and is strictly enforced. 🚫 The Bonnie Lass Cabin adheres to a "Zero-Tolerance" rule meaning, there must be at least one adult, 25 years or older, to rent the cabin and no one under 21 may consume any alcoholic beverages on this property. * Note: Failure to comply will result in eviction as well as possible lawful prosecution. ♻️ WE RECYCLE! ♻️ ♻️ ♻️ ✅ There is a trash can next to your CABIN and a recyclable can as well. Please put your trash in the can outside and the recyclable items in the recycling container that is provided.
