In the land of Maas en Waal, on the outskirts of the picturesque village of Appeltern, you find “Atelier onder de Notenboom”. Quietly situated on the edge of the nature and recreation area "De Gouden Ham". The guests of our luxurious apartments can make free use of the Atelier/De Hooiberg. Come and enjoy the many cycling and walking routes with many ferry connections, the Gardens of Appeltern and the many fishing and water sports options. Or simply enjoy the tranquillity of our country house. The space “De Boomgaard” is a luxury holiday home (140m2) for 6 people, with 3 bedrooms, one of which is located on the ground floor. The other two are on the first floor. The apartment has its own entrance, kitchen with dishwasher and induction hob. The house has its own terrace, but the garden offers plenty of opportunities for sunbathing or relaxing in the shade of the walnut trees. The guests have the opportunity to use "De Hooiberg". A lounge area where you can quietly read a book, play a game or be creative. The recreation area "de Gouden Ham" is centrally located in Maasbommel in the land of Maas and Waal. The beautiful river landscape is surrounded by dikes that give access to beautiful rustic villages with landscape-filling orchards. The cities of Nijmegen, Tiel, Den Bosch and Oss (via ferry) as well as the Veluwe are close by. At the Riverside you can practice all kinds of water sports, rent boats, paddle, canoe and swim. At golf club De Batouwe guest players are also welcome and lessons are provided. A beautiful 27-hole golf club in the Betuwe. It is a 20minute drive from the holiday apartment. For castle lovers there are plenty of opportunities. There are several castles 20 minutes away. Having a dinner outside is possible in various delicious restaurants. To name a few: De Poort van Megen, Titus in Megen, Bistro de Bolle in Boven-Leeuwen, Pan&Zo in Hernen, Brass aan de Maas in Ravenstijn Guest access Guests of "de Boomgaard" may freely use "de Hooiberg"; a cozy lounge area where you can quietly read a book, play a game or be creative. Or... enjoy a good glass of wine. This space can also be used by the guests of our second appartment "de Walnoot" and the owners. Other things to note Atelier “Onder de Notenboom” has a unique location, separated only by a dike from the nature and recreation area De Gouden Ham. The ideal base for cycling and walking tours. Within a 5 minute walk you can rent all kinds of bicycles, boats, kayaks/canoes and sup boards. Bicycles can be stored under cover and there is ample parking on site. The owners also live on the property and are therefore directly approachable. Of course we can also be reached by phone.
