Lakeside cabin in private 45 acre woodland estate

Set within 45 acres of private woodland this eco-friendly luxury log cabin is the perfect place to relax, unwind and get away from it all. Whether you're looking for a secluded romantic getaway, a family friendly break, a luxurious space to reconnect with nature or enjoy a spot of recreational fishing then this unforgettable escape is the place for you. You'll rise in the morning to the sound of birdsong with views of the surrounding lakes and can explore woodland walks right from your doorstep The space ‘Lakeside’ - This luxury log cabin has been designed to nestle sensitively into the private 45 acre lake and woodland setting and is the perfect place to switch off and relax and be surrounded by so much nature. Enjoy lazy picnics with family and friends from the large (secure) expanse of grass garden infront of the cabin, stroll around the lakes and explore the myriad of woodland walks accessible right from your doorstep. Immerse yourself in the local flora and fauna and watch wildlife, such as deer, kingfishers, beavers, herons, sheep, cows, pheasants, foxes, buzzards, dragonflies, ducks and more - and even try your hand at a spot of carp fishing on the lakes. As soon as you open the front door to the cabin you are met with a light, bright, warm and welcoming atmosphere and a beautiful fresh pine scent. The property has a large open plan vaulted kitchen/living/dining room with sets of french doors opening onto a wrap around terrace with outdoor furniture. The kitchen is fully fitted with all the essentials- a full height fridge/freezer, oven, hob, Ninja air fryer, dishwasher, kettle, toaster and microwave. There are two large bedrooms; a master bedroom which enjoys dual aspect views of the surrounding lakes (with kingsize bed) and a second bedroom at the rear of the property (with two single beds). There is a bright shower room with toilet, sink and large shower at the rear of the property and a washing machine within the entrance space. Little Guests - Babies are very warmly welcomed at our Lakeside cabin. To make travelling a little easier, we’re happy to provide baby essentials to borrow during your stay, subject to availability, including a travel cot, pushchair, baby carrier, high chair, baby seat and changing mat. As parents ourselves, we know how much space little ones’ essentials can take up, so we hope these thoughtful extras make your journey a little easier and your stay more relaxing. Please note: Due to the open lakes and natural woodland, the site is not suitable for mobile toddlers or children over the age of 2. Babies and young children must be supervised by a responsible adult at all times, particularly around the lakes and woodland. We love dogs and one well behaved dog is warmly welcome at the cabin. We please just request an additional £35 fee to cover the additional cleaning services. Please do bring your own dog crate/ bedding/ towels/ bowls etc. The cabin has been fitted with a Starlink satellite system which provides high speed Internet. We have also installed an EV car charger, payable separately during your stay- please enquire for further details (Please do remember to bring your own car charging lead). Broadwoodwidger is located on the Cornwall / Devon border, just minutes off the A30 so it's really easy to access the many tourist attractions both counties have to offer. We have some tourist information packs within the cabin to help you choose where to explore during your holiday and are always on hand to help recommend anything in particular that you would like to see or do! We also have another 1 bedroom treehouse cabin called ‘Treetops’ that overlooks the lakes and is available to rent separately or together with this cabin for larger parties - please enquire for further information. We are a family business and we truly love what we do. We have installed an EV car charger next to the cabin which can be available during your stay (metered and charged separately - Please do remember to bring your own car charging lead). There are also other car charging facilities and Tesla Superchargers located approx. 4 miles away in our local village of Lifton. We have installed high speed Starlink Internet at the property. Recreational fishing (carp) is available, please just use barbless hooks, thank you. We also have a 1 bedroom treehouse cabin (called ‘Treetops’) which also overlooks the lakes. It can be rented together with this cabin or separately - please enquire. The surrounding farmland and woodland requires occasional maintenance throughout the year so you may rarely see our local farmer rounding up livestock or my father in law maintaining the site but they won't disturb you and shall just wave from afar. There is also a very small touring caravan area at the entrance to the site (located very far from the cabins) so there may be up to two caravans (usually none at all) during your stay. They are old family friends and rarely just come back to fish on the lakes - they will not interfere with your holiday.
