Tidewater Cottage

Tidewater Cottage is a special place in a special town. One of the oldest houses on the Mendocino coast, it offers a unique stay for the adventurous and fans of classic style. Featuring a newly remodeled bathroom, laundry on site, and ample space for a small family or multiple couples, Tidewater is a perfect base to explore the Mendocino coast and get to know Point Arena, one of the friendliest, most down-to-earth towns on Highway 1. The space You'll need to use and monitor the space heaters provided. Though the downstairs heater and space heaters are adequate to keep the house comfortable, as an older house in a cool climate, things can get chilly around the edges! It's recommended you bring comfy warm clothes and especially some thick socks and/or slippers to keep your feet warm on the tile of the bathroom and kitchen. The kitchen features a gourmet 6 burner gas range, oven, dishwasher, and a dining table for 4. There are many excellent local dining options, but cooking a gourmet meal in the kitchen is eminently possible. I provide coffee and tea (with creamer and sugar) as well as instant oatmeal and granola bars for all guests. Other things to note I do allow pets, but require an additional pet deposit beyond the cleaning fee and deposit required by airbnb. If you have a dog or other pet, please let me know and after we complete your booking, I'll require that deposit. On checkout, when we verify that your pet(s) have not left excessive hair, I'll refund the deposit to you.
