Relive Retreat's Hilltop Chalet is a 700 sq ft open concept rustic cabin w/high ceilings, full-length windows, spring water, private + new hot tub, fireplace, BBQ, wrap around deck w/views, hiking trails + more. Perfect for couples, friends or families looking to relax & rejuvenate in nature. If peace is what you are looking for this is it! Occassionally dog friendly so please inquire first. This is a private 72 acre retreat. We live here with our 2 dogs, currently hosting 2 yurts and 2 cabins. The space The cabin has 1 bedroom with a queen bed (extra firm mattress under soft mattress for choice) and sofa bed, comfortably sleeping 4 people. We are dog friendly but please do confirm with us if you plan to bring your furry friend. We have two dogs who live with us on the property, one is a girl border collie and the other is a boy sheepadoodle who loves everything and everyone. If your dog is aggressive or if you or your children are afraid of dogs please do contact us prior to booking. Our dogs are not aggressive but are off-leash, so they do have access to the full property. PLEASE NOTE we are still taking the following precautions: • Along with following AirBNB's cleaning guidelines, we have invested in a ULV Fogging unit that instantly disinfects with an all natural/safe 99.99% effective product from EnviroNize (Health Canada approved). Cabin comes equipped with a fireplace and firewood for cold months, full kitchen with additional coffee maker, soda stream, toaster, veggie/rice steamer, pots, pans, plates, cutlery, spices and more. There is a natural spring on the property, which the water is pumped from. It is then UV filtered making every tap drinkable. Cabin runs on septic, fresh spring water (filtered), wood fireplace, as well as a propane heater to create an almost off-grid experience. We recycle, compost and conserve energy as much as possible, promoting a sustainable living experience. Wrap around deck on south and east sides makes for perfect outdoor enjoyment. Hot tub sits flush with the east deck with fantastic views across the valley. Perfect for end of day after hiking. Please note that we are not an accessible cabin. There are 3 steps up to the main entry with no ramp or handrail. If you have any special needs please do contact us prior to booking and we can help accommodate. Our property is one of a kind. On a clear morning from the living room you will witness some spectacular sunrises. In the evening you can enjoy the ambiance of the sun setting or head up the road a few minutes to watch the sunset completely. The cabin sits at the top of a hill, up the driveway from our primary residence (another small cabin). The hill is perfect for keeping the mosquitos away with a continuous breeze. There are 3 reforested areas, lots of old forest, a meandering meadow, hills, wetlands, apple trees, the Saugeen River, streams and a natural spring. Wildlife includes tons of deer, rabbit, birds, wild turkeys and the occasional spotting (or hear them howl) of coyotes. The valley of the property echoes so they do sound close sometimes even though they are a distance away. A little about our dogs: One is a border collie (Boca), super smart and 9 years old. Be warned, if you start to play frisbee or ball with her she will not let you stop ;-) She is vocal and likes to be the boss. Our sheepadoodle (Happy) is 3 years now and is a tall boy. He is super friendly but still gets very excited when first meeting new people. We live on the property but do not bother our guests unless there is something you will need or to introduce the dogs which tends to be a good thing :-) Guest access Guest have private access to the cabin, hot tub with side yard, bbq on the back deck, firewood, air conditioning (summer months only) and more. There is a large backyard as well for enjoying that connects to our garden which we do need to maintain. The 72 acres of land, with around 1km of trails are shared with us and other guests. Other things to note We are a Nature Retreat and have other cabins in different areas of the property that we host guests in and a family cabin which is occasionally occupied. Main entrance of driveway is shared with everyone and all hiking trails are shared as well. If bringing your dog, please make sure to keep all hair off the furniture. Best to bring their own clean blanket. And make sure to clean up after them around the cabin and along the trails. All water comes from a natural spring on the property and is also UV filtered! So you can drink the best water from any tap. It is delicious! Long weekends, holidays and summer we require minimum 3-night rental, unless noted. Prices are subject to Ontario HST tax (13%). Security deposit will be reimbursed by AirBNB if collected.
