Sweet Little House in Downtown Fairfax
Description
Come stay in our tiny house with a large private back yard, in the fun town of Fairfax. Easy walk right up the street to restaurants, cafes, music venues, organic ice cream (the Scoop), Good Earth health food store, fun shops and galleries, downtown park with towering redwoods, tennis and bocce courts. Perfect base for world-class road- and mountain-biking, extensive hiking in the hills and redwoods. Loads to do for solo adventurers, romantic for couples, convenient for business travelers. The space This cute home is perfect for solo travelers or romantic couples looking for a cozy weekend getaway right in Fairfax. Super convenient to events at Deer Park Villa and also Spirit Rock. The bedroom features a comfy queen bed with ornate brass features and a warm comforter. A wardrobe has plenty of room for your clothes and belongings. The bright yellow kitchen looks out onto a sunny backyard, with a small deck out back where you can sip your morning coffee. The small updated bathroom features an older clawfoot bathtub with a shower, and the front sitting room connects to the bedroom, kitchen and bath. Nice wood floors throughout! Please note: this home has no television, so be sure to pack your laptop if you want to watch during your stay—but for first-run movies, Fairfax Theatre is right around the corner for the classic big screen. Guest access Guests will enter the house through the back door, and you will have full access to the house, and complete privacy. There is a lockbox with a key inside next to the back door, so please return the key to the lockbox as you check out. Other things to note This is an ideal spot for guests with an active itinerary who want the convenience of being super close to Town and all of the amenities that offers. Guests will hear some car or mellow "white noise" in the background during the day, but it quiets down while you sleep at night. However Monday and Tuesday mornings are local garbage collection in the early AM so things do get noisy then. The old-fashioned clawfoot bathtub may not be suitable for some older guests with mobility concerns, as it requires a step up to get in. Also the tub is not convenient for soaking baths—it can be challenging to get enough hot water to warm up all that cast iron! Finally, there is no laundry for guests on the premises but there is a laundromat two blocks away for anyone planning to stay long enough to do laundry.
