THE MUSIC ROOM / LIVING ROOM: the large living room was once the home & rehearsal space for the 60’s psychedelic rock band, Spirit, (who famously won their lawsuit against Led Zeppelin for the iconic intro to “Stairway to Heaven”.) The band lived and worked in the Villa for almost a decade; shaping the sound of the Canyon, jamming with other locals like Neil Young, Canned Heat and the Eagles. If you listen with the right kind of ears, you’ll hear their music still drifting through the rafters. The massive living room provides ample space for playing, dancing, singing, and even putting on a mini concert or play! We’ve added modern touches like a hi-definition projector for movie viewing, baby grand AND upright pianos, acoustic guitar, record player and a massive stone fireplace for cozy nights creating together.
