Located on one floor of a private home, this room turned private guest suite is a perfect escape. Decorated in bright, calming colors, we designed with relaxation in mind. We are a 10-15 minute bus ride from the ferry, a 10 minute walk to RUMC, 17 minute drive to SIUH and 5 minute drive to Wagner College. The space Thank you for your interest in our home. Please read the full description to make sure our home is the right place for you. Welcome to our house on a hill. As you ascend the stairs, take in the view of the beautiful park across the street. Continue to the entrance at the side of the house where you have private access to your space. THE SPACE has a queen sized bed and a sofa (can turn into a sofa bed) with storage for extra blankets and pillows. Enjoy watching your favorite TV shows and movies on our smart tv with built in Amazon Fire. We have a fully stocked kitchen with the basics including cooking spices, breakfast items, snacks and other items should you get hungry. The private bathroom has essential toiletries (shampoo, conditioner, body soap), a hair drier and a first aid kit. There is ample storage for your clothes in the double closets. TRAVEL: We are close to 2 bus lines that get you to the ferry in about 10 minutes (or a 5 minute Uber), depending on the time of day. Bus options to the ferry are the 46/96, and 48.. Back from the ferry are the same buses. Get the MTA app for up to date bus arrival times. You can use your smart wallet to pay for all public transportation in NYC or purchase a metro card at any subway terminal. CONTACT: We are on site at all times for any questions or needs, as this is our primary residence. You might hear us as we get ready in the mornings and are home in the evenings but we are pretty quiet folks. MEDICAL STUDENTS and TRAVELING NURSES: We are within walking distance to RUMC and a short drive to SIUH! NEW: Airbnb has taken away the service fees for guests as a separate charge and is automatically adding it to the total nightly price that you see. Guest access Full access Other things to note There are several stairs to climb to get to the front door. Please be advised if you have accessibility needs. If traveling with small children, please include them as infants or just let us know. If you would like an early check-in or late check-out, please request it and we will do our best to accommodate you. An early check-in or late check-out of three hours or more may incur a half-day fee (please contact us for details and info). Any unauthorized or unapproved late check-outs or early check-ins will incur the cost of half a night's stay to start (after 30 minutes late or early check in/out). We do not allow unapproved guests to stay in our home and you may be asked to leave without a refund. We live near a lot of nature and sometimes nature likes to come inside. It's rare but it happens. There are some low beams in the room ABSOLUTELY NO PARTIES or additional guests without permission. This is a private home where we reside. We accept dogs (no cats) on a case-by-case basis, mainly certified emotional support animals. -$100 fee per stay if less than 30 days and $100 additional per month for extended stays. -Cleaning fee with pet is $100 -Pets during extended stays must pay a $500 refundable deposit no later than 2 days prior to check in -Must be crate trained -Must never stay in apartment alone -Guest responsible for 100% of the cost of any damage caused by animal In the lot next to us, there is a fence up for construction of a home.
