A charming weatherboard cottage, lovingly restored and extended, with beautiful period features. Sit on the veranda and enjoy the garden and birds. 1 queen bed, 4 single beds and a portacot. The kitchen, bathrooms and laundry are new with everything you need. Walkable to Bassendean cafes and restaurants, shopping centre with grocery store, train station and the Swan River. 10 min drive from the airport. On a quiet peaceful street where you can park easily right at the door. Reg # STRA6054CQ773Q The space Welcome to Bassendean Cottage your quiet and peaceful home away from home. It has beautiful high ceilings with exposed wooden trusses, a fireplace, leadlight windows and french doors to the veranda and garden. It’s clean and well-equipped with things you might need while you holiday with your family. It has all the essentials so you can arrive with just your suitcase. You can walk to the grocery shop, train, cafes and pub. If your intended use of the house is not for usual holiday travel, please advise and ask us if it’s ok before you book. Please respect us and our cottage by doing the right thing and taking care with the house. While you stay we recommend taking a stroll through the antique shops of historic Guildford, walking along the river from Woodbridge play space, visiting the Swan Valley wine region, the Kalamunda Markets and Zig Zag lookout, Botanic gardens and May drive parkland, Hillarys marina, Fremantle and endless beaches. Enjoy the sunset city view with a picnic dinner at Kings Park. Kids enjoy the local Sandy Beach playground, Caversham Wildlife Park and Cuddly Animal Farm. Guest access You will have the whole residential house and garden to yourselves. While the house can accommodate up to 6 adults and 1 infant, only the people on your reservation can sleep at the property. Guests are not permitted to move around and sleep in all the beds, unbooked beds must be left unused. We live at a separate property next door. You can park up to 2 cars in the long car bay in the front yard. It’s easy to come and go from our quiet street. You can let yourself into the house anytime that suits you after check in opens as you will have a code for the key safe by the door. Other things to note There is a long car bay off the road, deep enough for 2 cars. You must not create a parking nuisance by inviting visitors or filling the street with cars. Fully equipped kitchen with basic supplies included - oil, salt, pepper, spices, margarine, jam/marmalade, milk and muesli. Cling wrap and alfoil. Hairdryer, iron, ironing board, washer & dryer, clothes drying rack and outside line, vacuum cleaner. Smart TV, wifi and USB charging ports at the island bench. Reverse cycle air conditioner for cooling and heating, a separate gas space heater, bedroom ceiling fans, and enough bedding to keep you warm. Gas fireplace in the front bedroom is not functional.
