The Zeppelin with outdoor bath (April-November)
The Zeppelin with outdoor bath (April-November)
Description
The Woodland Zeppelin (Outdoor Bath Available April to November) Our Zeppelin landed in 2017 and has been a popular romantic and lifestyle retreat, from busy lives, since then. The woodland Zeppelin is designed differently inside to the original Airship 001, to appeal to all couples and those who have enjoyed their stays with us, previously. This accommodation has no mains plug sockets and sparse mobile signal. It was designed by the architect Roderick James. The space The Zeppelin is designed to feel like you’re floating amongst the trees – a modern, cosy take on glamping where you’re immersed in nature but still have access to mod cons. Heating is provided by gas powered central heating and there’s a wood burner for cosy romantic evenings inside or the fire pit, for toasting marshmallows outside. You’ll find a small electric mini‑fridge, a two‑ring gas hob and a compact gas oven for cooking simple meals. A USB port for charging phones and small devices. Traditional plug sockets are not installed in Zeppelin, so electrical items with plugs cannot be used. We provide an outdoor bath to luxuriate in nature, guaranteed from April to November – in below zero temperatures the water supply can freeze, so please bear that in mind when booking. The tap water is safe to drink. Zeppelin runs on bottled gas, and very occasionally a bottle may run out during your stay; there are simple instructions on how to change it yourself if you’re happy to, or you can just call a staff member and we’ll come and assist you. Contact numbers are shared after bookings are confirmed. Please call Lynsie, the on site cohost, if you get lost or need assistance. There is no BBQ provided but there is a camping stove with gas cylinders provided to cook outside. Guest access There is an allocated parking space (signed) for the Zeppelin and then a short walk (about a 300 yards) along a designated path, through the woods, down to the 'Zeppelin'. If you need assistance please call Lynsie the on site cohost. Our woodland accommodations are tucked away in a rural location, so we recommend arriving by car as the taxi drivers will not enter the woods. There is no public transport available to The Haven. The track is not suitable for very low‑suspension cars or some motorbikes. If you’re arriving by taxi, your driver will drop you at the Tittlesfold entrance, and from there it’s about a 30‑minute walk along the track, through the woods with your luggage and supplies, to reach your accommodation– so please wear appropriate footwear and clothing. Other things to note VERY IMPORTANT Please do not ask to bring pets as we will not make exceptions as we want to cater for all including those with pet allergies. We cannot accept children under the age of 12 years. Please note that this is a glamping pod with basic facilities. No mains plug sockets for electrical appliances so there are no items such as hairdryer, microwave, fans etc. There is an outdoor bath with hot water. (Guaranteed Availability April to November) The pipes and taps may freeze during a cold spell during winter months. A usb port is built in to the stainless steel wall, a blue light marks the port, for charging phones and laptops. There is an indoor shower/wc There is a wood burner and there are no blinds and curtains so the airship may not be suitable for some individuals of a nervous disposition. This is a woodland setting so expect to hear and see deer, badgers, foxes, owls and other creatures including the pets who live on site. Dave, the cat. Also this is a working woodland so one might hear machinery. PLEASE NOTE during dry seasons/hosepipe bans/ fire risks… we do not allow open fires, charcoal BBQ’s and wood burners to be used. We provide a fire bowl. Charcoal not provided. Please check fire ban status before arrival. We provide enough kindling, logs and firelighters for your stay. If you need more, these can be purchased from Austen’s hardware, Mole Valley farmers, Lidls in Billingshurst or the garage at Five Oaks. For on site assistance or directions please call Lynsie the co host.
