The Sassafras Breeze

The Sassafras is our most private cabin. Secluded at the end of a driveway, it is surrounded by nature. One can hear the mountain streams from the large, covered porch. The furnishings are appropriately rustic yet modern in every since of the word. Free, dependable, high-speed, fiber internet and a smart TV are just two of the recent upgrades. In winter enjoy the floor to ceiling stacked stone gas log fireplace. Hike to a mountain top or visit a rushing stream...all without leaving the property. The space A beautiful new log cabin secluded on forty acres of spectacular mountain wilderness, yet just minutes from whitewater rafting and lots of fun things to do. There are two twin beds in one bedroom, a queen in another, plus a hide-a-bed couch in the greatroom. There's a double basin sink in the bath plus a tub with shower. This cabin is perfect for a weekend getaway or for a week of family vacation. We have another cabin nearby for guests or large families. These are the only two cabins on the forty acres, so you have plenty of privacy. Walk or drive to trout streams, hike to a mountain top all without ever leaving the site or just relax in a rocker on the covered porch and listen to the rushing mountain streams. Floor to ceiling stacked stone gas log fireplace, vaulted ceilings, wide plank flooring, and locally made rustic furnishings make this cabin wonderfully rustic, although central heat and air, ceiling fans, WiFi and all the modern comforts of home will make your stay comfortable and hassel free. Outside grill for the family cookout, large covered porch with rockers, flat screen TV with dish satellite system, all new appliances, full washer and dryer, easy access and parking...this cabin has it all.
