E. Beverley Charmer
My home is located just over a mile from the heart of Downtown Staunton. With easy access to I81, I64 and 262, you can easily traverse the Shenandoah Valley. Some of the highlights of the Staunton area are Shenandoah Shakespeare, Mary Baldwin University, Sunspots Glass Studio, Frontier Culture Museum, a unique downtown and proximity to a rich wine and brewery culture. My home is comfortable for both short and long term stays. A nicely equipped kitchen, quality linens and towels are all touches that I hope make your stay enjoyable. Guests have access to the entire house, with the exception of the closet in the living room. Extra linens are available in the hall closet. The kitchen is equipped with basic spices (garlic, salt, pepper, chili powder and olive oil), coffee pot, microwave, dishes and pots/pans. Although guests will enjoy a keypad check in process, I live locally and am available for emergencies. In addition, I am responsive to messages/emails. My home is located a scant 2 minutes (or less) from Mary Baldwin University, Shenandoah Shakespeare, the shops and dining in Downtown Staunton, a grocery store and a pharmacy. There is also a local Farmers Market located in the Wharf district. History buffs will enjoy Woodrow Wilson's Birthplace, the Civil War History and the architectural history of Staunton. There is a public transit and lots of parking in town. The driveway is a shared drive, so guests should make allowances for the neighbor to the right to have access to the gravel drive on the right side. There is ample room for at least one car at the top of the drive and additional street parking available.
