The Desert Ark LLC is a unique stay for nature lovers and adventurers. This private studio has a sleeping loft & downstairs Murphy bed with skylights, laundry, kitchenette, grill & half bath. There is also a seasonal outdoor shower. We are a remote, working art studio near the Ojito Wilderness, Jemez Springs, and San Ysidro Bike Trials, yet still very close to town for shopping, dining, and activities. The Loft is a studio with transitional space to serve all your needs. The upstairs loft is perfect for quiet activities, while the downstairs has a queen Murphy bed, a desk, tons of natural light, comfy seating, rest room with a shower, and dining/modest cooking space. Please note that the sleeping/ meditation loft upstairs has a low ceiling. Your first night's stay includes complementary organic fair-trade coffee, protein bars, Greek yogurt, organic teas, filtered water, organic oatmeal, and fresh organic fruit (as available). The space is next to our home, but completely separate and private to you. There is a ground level, private entrance with a lock code for the door. We have designed The Loft to be as private as possible, but we are always happy to meet our wonderful guests. This is a remote and lovely location surrounded by the desert with stunning views of the Red Rock Mesa. The neighboring cattle, horses, and even a donkey visit both sides of the property. Evening walks are a special treat on this dead-end desert road! Plenty of parking. You need a car or truck for transportation. We keep the driveway gate closed at all times to protect the safety of our pets. We have a lot of coyotes here. Please knot the closure when coming or going. Thank you so much!
