Edge Of The Forest-Two Bedroom Pool View Apartment

The main bedroom forms part of the semi-open plan apartment & is equipped with Twin beds (side-by-side) that can be converted into a King size bed upon request. The 2nd bedroom is private & is equipped with a Double bed. The apartment also has a Bunk bed that is located towards the lounge area. A 5th adult can sleep on the bottom of the Bunk Bed or 2 kids under the ages of 12 can share the Bunk Bed (Sleeps 6 persons, but limited to 5 adults). Pool view, patio, private entrance. The space The Lodge is named after the biggest and oldest Leopard Tree to be found in St Lucia, which is located at the entrance of the Lodge. Our Lodge is one of a very few accommodation establishments in St Lucia that is located on the edge of the forest/greenbelt area surrounding St Lucia, which provides the opportunity to experience wildlife encounters while staying at our Lodge. Our Lodge has 10 modern/spacious apartments, each individually/uniquely decorated, and can accommodate a maximum occupancy of 32 guests. Upon arrival at Leopard Tree Lodge, the Lodge Manager will receive, welcome and introduce guests to our Lodge. Guests will be provided with a map of the iSimangaliso Wetlands Park, St Lucia Town, as well as the Eastern Shores and the Western Shores Game Reserves that form part of the Park. The Lodge Manager will gladly explain to our guests all the tours/activities/excursions that are available in and around St Lucia , operated by various tour operators in our town. Guests will have the opportunity to book these tours/activities/excursions directly with the Lodge Manager at reception. All 10 our Apartments have fully equipped kitchens, private entrances, undercover balcony/patio seating areas, free safe & secure private parking, aircons, ceiling/portable fans, wall-mounted safes, emergency lights, hairdryers, free Wifi/Internet, flat screen Smart TV’s and DSTV. All our Apartments are no-smoking Apartments, but smoking is allowed at the undercover balcony/patio/seating area of each Apartment. Although we are a Self-catering Lodge, we supply the following to our guests free of charge: * Daily complimentary items: Chocolates, bottled filtered water, coffee, tea’s, brown and white sugar, sweetener, rusks, milk and milk powder per person. * Daily services: Cleaning services, fresh bath towels, garbage bags, sanitary bags, toilet paper, dishwashing liquid, handwash, hand cream and shower caps. Our Lodge has a communal braai area that is located next to the pool and on the edge of the Forest. Our Lodge is equipped with a 54 KVA diesel generator (power supply unit) and a borehole. Our Lodge is also equipped with a newly installed Solar Power System, which will provide for all the basic essentials like water supply, lights, Wi-Fi, TV, fans, security etc. during quiet hours (22:00 pm and 07:00 am) when there are power failures/load shedding issues, and the generator is not allowed to operate. Important: Since St Lucia is located in a World Heritage Site, the town’s Bylaws stipulate that generators are not allowed to operate during quiet hours (22:00 pm to 07:00 am). The Lodge’s generator will as such not be allowed to operate between 22:00 pm and 07:00 am should power failure/load shedding issues be experienced in town. Should power failure/load shedding issues be experienced between 07:00 am and 22:00 pm (Not Quiet Hours), then the generator will operate and will supply power to the Lodge and our guests at the Lodge. Check-in time at our Lodge is between 14:00 pm & 18:00 pm. It is important to notify the Lodge Manager of your time of arrival, especially when arriving after 18:00 pm. NO CHECK-IN AFTER 21:00 PM AS RECEPTION WILL BE CLOSED AND NOBODY WILL BE AVAILABLE AT THE LODGE TO HELP YOU WITH CHECK-IN (UNLESS PRIOR ARRANGEMENTS HAVE BEEN MADE WITH OUR LODGE MANAGER). St Lucia offers many different tours and activities that can be experienced by our guests in and around our beautiful town. All of these, including day/night game drive Safari’s to 3 game reserves (Eastern Shores, Western Shores and Hluhluwe/Imfolozi game reserves), whale watching, turtle breeding, snorkeling at Cape Vidal, hiking, horse riding, boat cruises on the Estuary, deep sea fishing, cultural tours, birding, crocodile centre and more, can all be arranged and booked from Leopard Tree Lodge’s reception. St Lucia is most famous for its town’s hippos roaming the streets of St Lucia town at night-time. These hippos (only a few of the hundreds inhabiting the St Lucia Estuary) exit the Estuary at night-time and enter the streets of St Lucia to graze on the sidewalks of the town, only to return to the Estuary at dawn. Guests staying at our Lodge are encouraged to drive around at night-time in search of these magnificent animals roaming the street of our town, alternatively, while sitting at our communal braai area and/or on the terrace at our Lodge, guests will also have the opportunity to view/experience these hippos passing the forest area adjacent to our Lodge. Guest access Access to the Apartment is by key and the keys are to be collected at reception on arrival. Other things to note Check-in time: 14:00 to 19:00. Check-out time: 10:00. Contact the Lodge and inform us of your time of arrival. Contact the Lodge if arriving after 19:00 to make arrangements. No loud noise or parties of any nature will be allowed. No noise between 22:00 and 07:00. Respect other guests’ privacy and peace at all times. Only lodge guests are allowed on the property. Right of admission reserved at all times. Guests are reminded to bring beach towels, beach umbrellas & insect repellents when visiting our lodge. The lodge's bathroom towels are not for use by the pool area or to be taken to the beach under no circumstances.
