Historic farmhouse, Lake Como

The original 19th-century stone structure has been recently renovated according to the dictates of green building. Fattoria dei Castagni is a farmhouse in the woods 5 km from Lake Como. The view of the surrounding woods and the valley will guarantee you tranquility and relaxation. As it is a farmhouse within the property, there are animals including goats, sheep and chickens. Sometimes sheep bleat or the rooster crows, keep this in mind before booking! The space The 90-square-meter house was built after renovating a 19th-century stone cottage. The large and bright living area houses the living room and the kitchen. The kitchen is fully equipped with an LG refrigerator, MIELE washing machine, AEG oven and induction cooktop. The two bedrooms and two bathrooms make up the rest of the house. The first room is a double room, with a king-size bed (180x200), a canopy bed and a private bathroom accessible from the room itself. The second room has two single beds and the bathroom is the same as the one serving the living area. The house is at the edge of the woods and within a private property of 30,000 square meters, but it also enjoys a reserved space with a table and chairs to be able to eat outdoors. Guest access The agriturismo is located within a property of about 30,000 square meters, of which 20,000 of woods. Guests are free to turn at their leisure, always respecting the animals present. In the woods, it's common to spot wild animals like deer, foxes, or squirrels. Other things to note No taxis! No public transport! The property is not recommended for those traveling by public transport, without having a car available. The area is not well served by public transport and taxis do not operate nearby. Make sure you reach us by car! The road that goes down to the property is unpaved for about 300 meters. If you're not comfortable driving on it, you can park at the entrance to the property.
