Restored, one-of-a-kind 1920's farmhouse on working 5 acre organic herb farm, great location, easy drive to Madison & EPIC. Enjoy peaceful country setting, fresh air, birds and gorgeous flora as you explore gardens, waterfall features or hang out on the front porch. Snowshoe or x-country ski in winter. Great for couples, solo adventurers or business travelers. Comfortable room & private full bath across the hall. Kitchen available to share refrigerator. Coffee, tea and light breakfast provided. The space We have raised 5 girls on this farm who are now off on their own adventures. It is time to share this wonderful space with others. We realize that fresh air and breathing space are sometimes in short supply as we travel this world. Our aim is to not only provide a good night's rest, but respite as well. Natural surroundings are a good way to calm the soul. Our hope for all our guests (potential new friends) is that we can in some small way contribute peace to body, soul and spirit. Guest access This is our home, but we want you to feel like it's yours too. We will be available to you as much as you need, but respect your privacy as well. The kitchen is available as well for beverages and snacks. Of course, free WiFi is on site. During your stay We will likely be occupied with various pursuits; i.e. pulling weeds, harvesting herbs, fixing things, etc., but always have time to talk, interact as much as you desire. Other things to note We are fascinated by the diversity of nature and uniqueness of people. A great asset to us is that nighttime here is really "night". The quiet is amazing, the stars can be seen clearly and the sounds of night are not obscured by artificial noise. We are both educators by background and enjoy the continuous learning that is available to us through nature itself and the unique experiences our guests bring with them.
