Centrally located with private entrance two bedroom self contained unit with king and queen beds in a bright and spacious lower level of a family home . It has all the comforts of home. Very close to the river for fishing, schools, sports facilities,restaurants, cafes, and shopping. A short drive to the hospital, the historic Chatham downtown area and downtown Newcastle. The space This large and private walkout basement apartment unit is entered from the back lower level of a two storey family home. A concrete walkway, some wood decking, and steps lead you to a private entrance . There is ample free parking for up to two vehicles or a vehicle with a trailer at the front of the home. The unit has a large cosy living room with a large flat screen TV, fully equipped kitchen with table and chairs , apartment size fridge and stove, microwave, coffee and tea bar with a nice selection of coffee and teas provided. There is one large full bathroom, very comfortable king and queen beds. A fifth (child or adult) can be accommodated with a folding twin floor mattress or bedding to sleep on the sofa. Guest access Guest have the entire two bedroom apartment unit to enjoy during their stay along with a cozy porch area. The neighbourhood is very friendly and safe, walkable with a playground. Please note that the fenced in backyard area is intended for home owners and their dogs only. Other things to note We the hosts do have two labradoodles (dogs), who are very friendly and love to greet our guests with their noses through the fence . They are dogs who are actually pretty quiet most of the time . However, they do like to alert us from time to time about the wildlife in our backyard . We make every effort to keep them as quiet as possible and especially between the hours of 10:00 pm -7:30 am.
