A quick drive to the General Store & Cafe - get your basics here, but load up on the mainland if you're prepping for meals. Walk to the renovated restaurant with a lovely nine-hole golf course across the street. Drive your pups to the off-leash dog park, but be sure to leave them safe in the kennel when you head to the lake as no dogs are allowed. Quiet neighborhood feel and no sidewalks or stop lights on island. No street signals or sidewalks. There are no ride-shares or buses, you must have your car from the ferry. There are wild deer and animals, so drive carefully. Paved roads, easy to navigate. This is a ferry served island - no bridges. Plan ahead and have Ferry tickets/schedule from the Pierce County website.
