Oltedal is a small village with about 1000 inhabitants. Here you will find a grocery store, fuel pumps and two cafes that sell good Norwegian traditional food as well as yarn, souvenirs and various other items. It's quiet and peaceful, and a safe place for the kids to be outside and play. Good freshwater bathing opportunities just nearby. About 15 minutes drive from Ålgård city center. Approx. 30 minutes drive from Sandes/Forus/Stavanger. I will be staying nearby and can be reached by mobile phone. Guest access The whole house, except for one room on the 1st floor. The house is inhabited, so personal belongings in cabinets will be found. Other things to note Gjesdal is an agricultural municipality, and has a lot of beautiful cultural landscape, fjords and mountains. There are several marked hiking trails around the doors, and several of the county's major attractions are reached by car within an hour, such as Preikestolen, Kjerag, Solastranda, Jærstrendene, Byrkjedalstunet, Gloppedalsura (Northern Europe's largest stone clock), Månafossen, Kongeparken, Norwegian Oil Museum, Brekko outdoor area, Lysefjorden, and more. For fishermen, Frafjordelva, Dirdalselva, Figgjoelva, Bjerkreimselva and Håelva are within half an hour's drive.
