The ancient capital of Lindos and stunning St.Pauls Bay are only 10 minutes drive. Half way up the eastern coast, Malona is the perfect base from which to explore the whole island. Less than 45 minutes in the car will find you exploring the battlements of Rhodes Town in the north, wine-tasting on the western slopes of Mount Attaviros, or watching the kite-surfers who come from all over the world to catch the waves at Prassonisi on the southern tip of the island. Also ideal as a base for hiking or cycling, a five minute walk will see you spotting honey buzzards on a quiet mountain road, or maybe just scrumping the odd orange as you wander down the olive tracks.
