The space Bluebird Cottage’s interior offers a unique and soulful space, with lovely natural light and handcrafted furniture. Start your mornings with our homemade organic bread or muffins and tea/coffee. Stroll the ridge above the cottage, following the local irrigation trail, and converse with the resident great horned owls in the tall pines. Visitors delight in discovering the award winning olive oils from the Oregon House/Loma Rica area and visiting the many local wineries. Oregon House is a gateway to many historic Sierra Nevada towns – less than an hour from Nevada City and a beautiful two-hour drive to Lake Tahoe. We're less than a half hour from beautiful swimming spots at the South Yuba River and 10 minutes from Lake Francis or Collins Lake. If you feel like relaxing and staying cozy, enjoy the porch, hammock swing and wifi. Guest access Bluebird Cottage is a private house with its own porch, driveway, and parking near the barn next to the cottage. There is a washing machine and clothesline available for cottage guests. The cottage is on the crest of a hill on our five acre property, which includes one other home. Other things to note The cottage and porch are your private space during your visit but if, for any reason, it is necessary to check something for safety, security or wellbeing, we will ask your permission to enter. We welcome well managed dogs. Our pet fee is $10 per day, per dog, to be paid on arrival.
